What Is The Plot Of My Hero Academia
Okay, let's talk My Hero Academia. You know, that anime everyone's obsessed with?
I have a confession. I'm not entirely sure what the actual plot is. Don't get me wrong, I watch it! I even enjoy it! But summarizing it?
Is it just Superhero High School?
Basically, a world where everyone has superpowers, called Quirks. Except for our boy Izuku Midoriya. Poor kid.
Must Read
Then, BAM! He gets the greatest Quirk of all, One For All from his idol, All Might. Now he has to learn to control it, while making friends and fighting bad guys.
So, good vs. evil, right?
That's the basic idea. All Might, the Symbol of Peace, is getting weaker.
Meanwhile, the villains, led by the creepy hand-face guy Tomura Shigaraki, are getting stronger. They want to destroy everything good!

It's a classic setup. But there's more, isn't there?
The Real Plot Twist?
Here's my (possibly unpopular) opinion. The plot of My Hero Academia is actually about growing up.
Think about it. It's about Izuku figuring out who he is, as a hero and as a person.
It's about his classmates, like Bakugo, learning to deal with their own insecurities and strengths.

Villains with a Point?
Even the villains have backstories! Shigaraki isn't just evil for the sake of it (well, maybe a little).
He has a tragic past. He thinks the hero society is flawed. He wants to make a point!
Okay, his methods are a bit extreme. But still, it's not just black and white. It's grey! Like the color of most anime school uniforms.
The Endless Tournament Arc (Kinda)
Let's be real, there are a LOT of battles. So many battles!

Every season feels like one long tournament arc, with brief interludes of character development. Not that I'm complaining.
Those fights are animated beautifully. And they push the characters to their limits! Plus, we get to see all the cool Quirks in action.
Is there even an ending?
Honestly, I have no idea when this show will end. It feels like it could go on forever!
Which, as a fan, I'm secretly okay with. More Deku! More explosions from Bakugo!

More existential crises from everyone! Because that's what makes it so great, right?
So, What's the Plot, Really?
Ultimately, My Hero Academia is about the journey. The journey of becoming a hero.
The journey of figuring out your place in the world. The journey of punching bad guys really, really hard.
And maybe, just maybe, that's the most relatable plot of all. Agree?
