What Is The Last Episode Of This Is Us

Okay, let's talk about the This Is Us finale. You know, the one that everyone seemed to have a lot of feelings about.
Spoiler alert? Nah. If you haven't seen it by now, are you even a real fan? Just kidding… mostly.
The Big Question: Was It Good?
Here’s where I might ruffle some feathers. Ready for my brutally honest, possibly unpopular opinion? It was… fine.
Must Read
Just fine. Not great. Not terrible. Simply, adequately, perfectly… fine.
Hear Me Out!
Everyone wanted some grand, earth-shattering conclusion. A twist that would make us ugly-cry for days.
But did we really need that? I'm not so sure.
The finale was quiet. It was about the little moments. Jack and Rebecca, just being. It felt…real.

And maybe that’s why some people didn’t love it. Life isn’t always a dramatic movie montage, you know?
Sometimes, it’s just sitting around, watching TV with your loved ones. Sometimes, it's reflecting about life.
What I Actually Liked
The focus on the kids being okay? That was good. Knowing Kate, Kevin, and Randall were set for the future. It gave me peace.
Rebecca's passing was sad, of course. But it was handled with such grace and dignity.
Plus, Milo Ventimiglia just being Milo Ventimiglia? Always a win. Let's be honest.

My (Slightly) Wild Theory
Maybe the whole show was never about a specific destination.
Maybe it was always about the journey. The ups and downs. The messy, beautiful, complicated experience of being a family.
The This Is Us train was traveling all along. It didn't need to reach anywhere, but go through all the stops to drop its passengers.
The Unpopular Opinion, Continued
I think people were expecting fireworks. Giant reveals. But the show had already given us so much.

Did we really need another plot twist about Nicky being secretly married to someone else's goldfish? Probably not.
The strength of This Is Us was always in its character development. And the finale stayed true to that.
So, while some might call it boring, I call it… fitting. A gentle sendoff for a show that made us feel a lot.
So, What Was The Last Episode?
It was a sigh. A breath. A moment of quiet reflection before moving on.
It was a reminder that life is fleeting. And that the most important thing is to cherish the moments we have.

It was, in my humble (and potentially wrong) opinion, perfectly… adequate. I'm at peace with it.
And honestly? After six seasons of emotional rollercoasters, maybe we all deserved a little peace and quiet. Even if that peace looked like Jack laying in bed.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch the first season. Just for fun. And to remind myself why I got so invested in this family in the first place.
Don't judge me. We all have our comfort shows. Right?
P.S. If you disagree with me, that's totally fine! Let's argue about it in the comments. But please be nice. We're all just trying to process our feelings about This Is Us, one slightly underwhelming finale at a time.
