Remember The Originals? All that family drama, brooding vampires, and stunning New Orleans backdrops?

The ending... well, it was a lot. Were we all sobbing? Probably. But did it really work?

The "Heroic" Sacrifice. Or Was It?

Okay, so Klaus and Elijah go out in a blaze of glory. They save Hope, blah, blah, blah.

Is anyone else thinking this was a teensy bit selfish? They left Hope an orphan! Again!

Hear me out. Klaus, with all his power, couldn’t find another way? He's, like, a thousand years old!

Elijah: The Ultimate Ride-or-Die (Maybe Too Much?)

Then there's Elijah. He couldn't live without Klaus? Really?

Dude, you had a whole life! You could have, you know, lived it? Seems a little co-dependent to me.

I mean, seriously, finding purpose in someone else's existence? Kind of messed up, right?

Hope: The Supersized Orphan.

Poor Hope. Seriously. She's got the weight of the supernatural world on her tiny shoulders.

And thanks to her dad and uncle, she's now navigating all that grief and being a tribrid.

Talk about a rough childhood. Did nobody think of therapy? Asking for a friend...

Freya: The Responsible One (Finally!)

At least Freya stepped up. She’s like, “Okay, someone’s gotta be the adult here.”

Props to her for trying to keep the family legacy somewhat intact. Someone had to!

But let's be real, Freya deserved a break, too. She was always fixing everyone's messes.

Unpopular Opinion Time: It Was Too Neat.

Here’s my super controversial take: the ending was too… packaged.

Everyone got their "closure" (debatable!), and the writers tied everything up with a bow.

But life isn’t like that! Especially not vampire life!

The Real Tragedy? No More New Orleans Vibes.

Honestly, the biggest loss was the end of that New Orleans atmosphere. The music! The magic!

Think of all the potential storylines left unexplored in that amazing city.

We could have had centuries more of supernatural shenanigans!

So, What Really Happened at the End?

The Mikaelsons went out in a blaze of glory... or maybe a blaze of questionable decisions.

Hope is left to carry the torch (and a lot of baggage).

And we're left wondering, "Could they have done things differently?"

Maybe that’s the point. Maybe the messy, flawed Mikaelsons wouldn’t be who they are if they didn’t make those choices.

Still, a little less self-sacrifice and a little more therapy wouldn't have hurt!

“Family. Power. Legacy.” Except, maybe, at a HUGE cost.

But hey, at least we got Legacies, right? Right?
