It's been a hot minute, so let's jog our memories. I'm talking about the episode where Bonnie, played by the glorious Allison Janney, finally got her happy ever after with Adam. Cue the happy tears, right?

Bonnie and Adam are blissfully married. The ladies are still navigating life's chaos. Sobriety is still the name of the game.

Remember when Marjorie had her health scare? That was rough! Thankfully, she pulled through, reminding us all of the preciousness of life (and TV friendships).

And Jill? Still rich. Still fabulous. Still trying to figure things out, just like the rest of us.

The Missing Elephant: Anna Faris

Let's address the elephant in the room: Where was Christy? Anna Faris's absence was definitely felt.

They explained it away with her being in law school. But come on! It just wasn't the same without her sarcastic wit and quirky charm.

Unpopular opinion: The show definitely lost some of its sparkle without her. The dynamic was just...different.

Bonnie's Journey: From Chaos to (Relative) Calm

The finale really focused on Bonnie's growth. We saw her embrace happiness. We saw her continue to support her friends.

From struggling addict to a woman with a loving husband and a supportive community. It's a beautiful arc!

Allison Janney absolutely killed it, as always. She brought so much heart to that role.

The Group Dynamic: Still Strong (Mostly)

Despite Christy's absence, the core group dynamic was still there. The bickering, the supporting, the loving...it was all classic Mom.

Wendy was still adorably awkward. Marjorie was still the voice of reason. Jill was still...well, Jill.

They provided the familiar comfort we needed, even if someone was missed.

The Big Question: Was It a Satisfying Ending?

Okay, here's where things get tricky. Did the finale wrap everything up nicely? Sort of.

Did it feel a little rushed? Maybe. Was it perfect? Definitely not.

But did it leave us with a sense of hope and a reminder of the power of friendship? Absolutely. Maybe that's enough.

My (Slightly) Unpopular Opinion

Here's my hot take: While the finale was sweet and well-intentioned, it could have been more. The absence of Anna Faris left a hole that just couldn't be filled.

I also wish they had given other characters more complete arcs. Wendy and Jill, for example, could have used a little more development.

Ultimately, Mom was a show about addiction, recovery, and the unbreakable bonds of female friendship. It gave us laughs, it gave us tears, and it gave us characters we genuinely cared about. And for that, I'm grateful. Even if the ending wasn't exactly what I hoped for. What's your take?
