What Happened On The Last Episode Of Martin

Okay, let's talk about the Martin finale. Remember "Goin' Overboard?" Man, that episode was a rollercoaster!
Martin and Gina are getting married! It's supposed to be smooth sailing on a cruise ship. What could possibly go wrong? (Spoiler alert: everything).
The Wedding Cruise From Hell
First off, Pam acts a fool, as always. Sheneneh pops up, predictably causing drama. Tommy and Cole are, well, Tommy and Cole. Need I say more?

Then there's the small matter of Martin getting jealous. Gina just wants to dance and enjoy her bachelorette party. But Martin thinks she's eyeing another dude. Seriously, Martin?
He lets his ego run wild, causing a huge fight. It’s all very…Martin. Loud, over-the-top, and kind of ridiculous.
And then, BAM! Gina falls overboard! Talk about a dramatic exit.

Martin to the Rescue? Not Really
So, here’s my unpopular opinion: Martin’s “rescue” of Gina is underwhelming. It’s played for laughs, sure. But he mostly flails around in the water.
Like, come on! He nearly drowns both of them! Where's the heroic moment we expected?
Eventually, they get pulled out. Cold, wet, and still bickering. The romance, people, the romance!

The wedding does eventually happen, thank goodness. Everyone is there, even Sheneneh (unfortunately for Gina). It’s sweet, I guess.
Was It A Satisfying Ending?
Honestly? I have mixed feelings. The whole overboard thing felt forced. Like they needed a big, dramatic event to cap it all off.
But, did they really need it? We already knew Martin and Gina loved each other. Did we need near-drowning experiences to confirm it?
And let’s be real, the humor was a bit…much. Even for Martin. Pam's antics went from funny to grating. Sheneneh being, well, Sheneneh, just felt tired.

Tommy and Cole, however, were gold! Those two are always on point. They brought the relatable, everyday humor.
Ultimately, they got married. It’s a happy ending. We see Martin and Gina moving into their new place, ready to start their life together.
The show ends with a final, classic Martin moment. Martin makes a classic Martin crack, reminding us all that even in marital bliss, Martin will always be Martin.

Maybe that’s the point. They ended it how they started it. Loud, funny, and with a whole lot of love (and arguing) in the mix.
So, was "Goin' Overboard" a perfect finale? Nah. But was it entertaining? Absolutely. Would I watch it again? Probably. Because, despite its flaws, it’s still Martin. And sometimes, that's all you need.
And hey, at least they didn't do a clip show, right? That would have been the ultimate betrayal.
