What Channel Is Oklahoma State Playing On Today

Ah, Saturday. Or maybe it's a Thursday night game. The eternal question echoes through Oklahoma: What channel is Oklahoma State even playing on today?
Seriously, it feels like finding Waldo sometimes. Is it ESPN? ESPN2? ESPNU? My cable package doesn't even have ESPNU, I swear!
The Great Channel Conspiracy
Don't even get me started on streaming. Peacock? Paramount+? Hulu with Live TV and a sports add-on? It's enough to make a person throw their remote at the wall.
Must Read
Is there some shadowy cabal deciding where OSU games end up? Are they intentionally trying to make it as difficult as possible to watch our beloved Cowboys? I wouldn't put it past them.
My unpopular opinion: all college football games should be on one channel. Just one. Problem solved. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
Decoding the TV Guide
First, you open the TV Guide. If you still have one. If not, you navigate to some website that looks like it was designed in 1998.

Then, you squint. And squint some more. Is that a "1" or a "7" after the "ESPN"? My glasses are clean, I promise!
You might even have to call a friend. Or your tech-savvy nephew. "Hey, Timmy, can you find the OSU game? I'll pay you in pizza."
The "Joy" of Streaming
Okay, let's talk streaming. You sign up for a free trial. You enter your credit card information. You set a reminder to cancel before they charge you.

The game starts, and... buffering. Of course. Just when Spencer Sanders (or insert current QB here!) is about to throw a touchdown.
My other unpopular opinion: Streaming should be illegal. Okay, maybe not illegal. But much cheaper and much more reliable.
The Radio Rescue
Sometimes, you just give up. You turn on the radio. You listen to the dulcet tones of the play-by-play announcer.
It's not the same as seeing the action. But at least you know what's happening. And you don't have to deal with buffering.

Plus, you can paint the game into your head! It's like old-timey entertainment. Except with more yelling at the radio.
The Channel Gods Have Spoken!
So, where is Oklahoma State playing today? I honestly don't know. But I bet it requires a subscription to something obscure.
Maybe it's time to just go to the game. Tailgate with friends. Experience the magic in person. As long as you have tickets. Which is another whole saga.

Whatever channel it's on, Go Pokes! And may the channel gods be ever in your favor. Seriously, I need a drink.
Oh, and one final, incredibly unpopular opinion: kickoff times are getting ridiculous. Noon? 11 AM? Who schedules these things? Vampires?
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go search the internet for "Oklahoma State game channel finder." Wish me luck!
I'm starting to think that the real game isn't on the field, it's figuring out where to watch it!
