Watch This Is Us Season 6 Episode 11

Remember 'This Is Us'? Yeah, Let's Talk About That Episode.
Okay, let's be honest. We all cried during This Is Us. A lot. But sometimes, just sometimes, a little voice in your head whispered, "Is this… too much?"
Specifically, I'm thinking about Season 6, Episode 11. "Saturday in the Park." Prepare for some potentially unpopular opinions!
The One Where Nicky Gets a Little Too… Much.
First off, Nicky. We love Nicky! He's quirky. He's got a great backstory. He finally found love.
Must Read
But in this episode? Maybe he needed to chill a tiny bit. Was anyone else exhausted by his need to fix everything?
I mean, bless his heart. He wanted to create the perfect Saturday for the twins. But sometimes, kids just want to eat dirt and throw rocks. Let them live!
The Art of Over-Parenting (According to Me)
Speaking of letting them live, let's talk about parenting in general. I get it. We all want the best for our kids.

But sometimes, the best thing you can do is… nothing. Let them figure it out. Let them scrape their knees. (Within reason, of course. Don't let them actually eat the dirt.)
This episode felt like a masterclass in well-intentioned, but slightly suffocating, parenting. Raise your hand if you’ve been there!
Rebecca's Decline: Heartbreaking, But…
Now, let’s address the elephant in the room. Rebecca's health was declining, and it was brutal to watch.

No one is disputing that. Mandy Moore gave an incredible performance. But did the whole "dreamy" sequence feel a little… detached? Like a slightly melodramatic perfume ad?
Maybe it's just me! It's definitely emotional. But was it too emotional?
The Flash Forwards: Are We There Yet?
And those flash forwards! We’re slowly piecing together the puzzle of Rebecca's final days.
But after six seasons, did anyone else feel like they just wanted to get to the ending? All the build-up felt like a really long road trip, where you just want to yell, "Are we there yet?!"

Don't get me wrong, I love a good mystery. But after a while, the constant teases started to feel a little manipulative. Anyone else feeling this?
In Conclusion: A Perfectly Imperfect Episode
Look, I'm not saying "Saturday in the Park" was a bad episode. It was This Is Us! It had heart. It had drama. It had characters we loved (and sometimes wanted to gently shake).
But sometimes, the show leaned a little too heavily into the melodrama. And maybe, just maybe, we needed a little less "perfect Saturday" and a little more realistic chaos.

So, what do you think? Am I completely off base? Or did anyone else have similar thoughts about this particularly emotional installment of This Is Us?
Maybe Jack Pearson would have had the answer. Oh, Jack!
Either way, let's agree on one thing. We all needed a box of tissues while watching. No shame in that game!
And, one last thing. Remember to let your kids eat dirt sometimes. (Just kidding!… mostly.)
