Watch The Worst Person In The World Trailer

Okay, okay, I saw the trailer for The Worst Person in the World. Everyone raved. You raved. My dog probably would have raved if he could talk.
But… did anyone else think it looked, well, a bit much?
Joachim Trier's Masterpiece? Hmm…
Don't get me wrong. I love a good foreign film. Subtitles? Bring 'em on! But this one? It felt like a concentrated dose of existential dread sprinkled with quirky romance.
Must Read
Is it just me or did the trailer promise three hours of feeling inadequate about my own life choices?
The Perks of Being... Ordinary?
The main character, Julie, changes her career like I change my socks. Doctor? Psychologist? Photographer? She's basically me at age 18 but way more fashionable and European.
And don't even get me started on the romances. Older, established artist? Younger, charming barista? I'm stressed just watching the trailer!

Is it bad that I kind of just want to watch a rom-com where someone picks a job and sticks with it? Maybe opens a bakery or something?
Okay, Fine. The Trailer's Good.
I'll admit, the cinematography is stunning. Oslo looks gorgeous. The acting? Top-notch. Especially from Renate Reinsve who portrays the Julie character.
There is a reason she has gained so many awards for this performance!
And that whole frozen-time sequence? Clever. Very clever. I mean, it’s just not really my cup of tea.

My Problem? Maybe I'm Just Boring.
Maybe I'm the problem. Maybe I'm not intellectual enough to appreciate a film about the complexities of modern love and identity. Is that possible?
Maybe I should embrace my mundane existence! It's kinda relaxing, you know? No existential crises, just paying bills and watching reality TV.
But then again, maybe The Worst Person in the World is brilliant. Everyone else thinks so.
The Verdict (Probably Wrong)
Look, I'm probably going to watch it eventually. Peer pressure is a powerful thing. The trailer looks undeniably well-made.

And who knows? Maybe I'll have a profound epiphany about my own life. Or maybe I'll just be more confused. Either way, sounds entertaining!
However, deep down, I feel like the trailer set me up for a major disappointment. It’s probably going to be good, but too long.
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Here it is: Maybe we need more movies about… good people? People who make reasonable choices and don’t constantly question everything?
Is that too much to ask? A feel-good story about someone who just… thrives?

So, go ahead. Watch The Worst Person in the World. Tell me how wrong I am. I'm ready.
Actually, maybe I'll go watch a cat video instead. Less pressure.
But if you do enjoy it, please do not write to me to tell me what a fool I am!
But in all seriousness, give a watch to the Joachim Trier’s masterpiece!
