Watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians Season 1 Episode 1

Okay, I Watched That Episode.
Confession time: I finally caved. I watched the first episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Yes, season 1, episode 1. Prepare for some potentially scandalous opinions.
Remember 2007? Flip phones reigned supreme. And, apparently, so did Kim’s closet organizing skills. Seriously, that was a plot point.
The Famous Closet Situation
Kim's closet was the main focus. Khloe and Kourtney were helping. Or, more accurately, "helping."
Must Read
It was a dramatic display of designer handbags. I’m pretty sure my entire apartment could fit inside that closet. #goals?
But was it really that interesting? Unpopular opinion: not really. My own closet is more exciting, only because you never know what ancient artifacts you might unearth.
"Kim, there's people that are dying."Kourtney's iconic line was born. Let's face it, that line is more famous than the whole episode.
Ryan Seacrest's Cameo (Kind Of)
Ryan Seacrest makes an appearance. Well, his voice does. He's giving guidance on the show's format.

It's interesting hearing his voice. It's like the Wizard of Oz, but with more reality TV savvy.
Did he know it would become a pop culture phenomenon? I doubt even he predicted this level of fame.
Brody Jenner, Pre-The Hills
Remember Brody Jenner? He pops up as Kim's friend. He was just cool and effortless.
It's funny seeing him before his Hills days. So much has changed! Still gorgeous, though.

Kris Jenner: Master Manipulator (Allegedly!)
Oh, Kris. Always hustling. Even in episode one, you can see the gears turning.
She’s clearly the mastermind. Building an empire, one closet at a time. Some might call it genius.
I'm not saying she orchestrated everything... but I'm not not saying it. A truly impressive woman!
The Girls Then and Now
It's wild seeing how different they look. Young faces, different styles. The evolution is real.

Their personalities? Pretty much the same. Loud, dramatic, and undeniably entertaining.
They've grown up right before our eyes. And their fame exploded through the roof!
Final Thoughts (And Another Unpopular Opinion)
Okay, deep breath. Here it comes. The first episode wasn’t that groundbreaking.
Don’t get me wrong, it's a piece of television history. But the drama felt... manufactured? Maybe?

The show definitely evolves. It's hard to believe that they will be this famous based on this first episode.
Maybe I'm just desensitized to reality TV. Or maybe I expected a bigger bang for my buck. Either way, I'm glad I watched it.
I will be watching more episodes. I’m curious to see how they became the household names they are today.
Who knows, maybe I'll become a full-blown Kardashian convert. Stranger things have happened.
So, tell me: am I alone in this slightly lukewarm take? Or are there others who feel the same way? Sound off in the comments!
