Watch Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 10

Okay, let’s talk about Demon Slayer. Specifically, Season 2, Episode 10. You know, the one everyone raved about?
I have a confession. A potentially unpopular opinion, maybe even a controversial one. Prepare yourselves.
The Episode 10 Hype Train: All Aboard?
Don’t get me wrong. It was… fine. Action-packed? Sure. Visually stunning? Absolutely! Ufotable always delivers on that front.
Must Read
But did it blow my mind? Not really. Did I cry like everyone else seemed to? Nope. Was I on the edge of my seat, biting my nails? I was mostly thinking about what to have for dinner.
Maybe I'm Just Too Jaded
Perhaps I’ve watched too much anime. Maybe I've become immune to the dramatic music swells and the perfectly timed emotional flashbacks. Is it possible I am simply too cynical?
Probably. But hear me out!
The internet exploded. Twitter was flooded with people weeping openly. YouTube reaction videos showed grown adults sobbing into their pillows. I was… confused.

Was I watching the same episode? Did I miss something crucial while I was deciding between pizza and tacos?
The Tengen Uzui Factor
Let's be honest, a lot of the hype revolves around Tengen Uzui. Flashy, flamboyant, and with three wives! What's not to like, right?
I get it. He's cool. He's got style. But did his fight really warrant that level of emotional outpouring?
He’s essentially a ninja who loves explosions. What about Tanjiro and Nezuko? They are awesome characters with great depth.

The Flashbacks... Oh, The Flashbacks!
Okay, the flashbacks. We get it! Backstories are important. They add depth and motivation to characters.
But at this point in Demon Slayer, haven't we seen enough flashbacks to fill a small library? Are they really that effective if they are used constantly?
Maybe a little restraint would make them more impactful. Just a thought.
Unpopular Opinion: It Was Good, Not Great
Look, I'm not saying Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 10 was bad. Not at all! It was a solid episode of anime.

The animation was gorgeous. The fight choreography was impressive. The voice acting was superb. All the elements were there.
But it just didn't reach the legendary status that everyone else seemed to be assigning it. It was good, not great. Dare I say, slightly overhyped?
The Real Villains: Expectations?
Maybe the problem wasn't the episode itself. Maybe it was the expectations. When everyone is screaming about how amazing something is, it's hard to live up to the hype.
Perhaps I went in expecting too much. Perhaps I should have just relaxed and enjoyed the flashy fight scenes without overthinking it.

"Maybe I'm just a heartless monster. Or maybe I just prefer tacos over pizza."
Whatever the reason, I stand by my unpopular opinion. Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 10 was good, but not the earth-shattering masterpiece that everyone else claims it to be.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch it and see if I can find the hidden emotional depth that everyone else seems to have discovered.
And then I'm definitely getting tacos.
