Watch Around The World In 80 Days Episode 3

Alright, fellow adventurers (armchair or otherwise)! Let's talk about Around the World in 80 Days. Specifically, episode 3. Hold on to your hats; we're diving in.
Episode 3: The One Where Things Get… Complicated?
So, Phileas Fogg, Passepartout, and Abigail Fix are still on their whirlwind tour. This time they are in India. Exotic locale? Check. But was this episode entirely… necessary?
Maybe this is just me. Maybe I had too much tea before watching. But episode 3 felt a little…filler-y. There. I said it!
Must Read
The Good Stuff (Because It Wasn't ALL Bad)
Okay, credit where credit is due. The costumes were gorgeous! Seriously, someone give the wardrobe department an award. The landscapes were stunning. India looked absolutely breathtaking.
And the actors are doing a fine job! David Tennant, as always, is a delight. You just want to root for him. Even when he's making questionable decisions.
I also enjoyed the introduction of new characters. The dynamic between them and our intrepid trio definitely added some spice.

My Unpopular Opinion: Did We Really Need This Detour?
Here's where I might lose some of you. I felt like the plot meandered a bit. It felt like we took a side quest. A very pretty, visually appealing side quest, but a side quest nonetheless.
The whole rescue the princess storyline? It felt a tad… forced? It felt like a stereotypical trope. It didn't really advance the main plot much at all.
I get it! They're trying to show the culture. But maybe, just maybe, we could have done that and kept the plot moving forward a bit more briskly. Is that too much to ask?

Perhaps this is a slow burn. Perhaps this is all building to something spectacular. I hope so! I truly do. I'm still on board for the rest of the journey, Fogg! Don't let me down.
Passepartout: Still My Favorite
Let's be real, Passepartout is the MVP of this entire show. Change my mind! He’s funny. He’s loyal. He's surprisingly competent, considering he seems perpetually confused.
He provides the comic relief we desperately need. Especially when Phileas Fogg is being all stoic and brooding. Bless his heart.
And the bromance between him and Fogg? Adorable. I’m living for it. Give Passepartout his own spin-off!

Abigail Fix: Still a Little… Mysterious
I'm still trying to figure out Abigail Fix. Is she a friend? Is she a foe? Is she just really, really nosy? The jury's still out.
Her motivations are unclear. Her interactions with Fogg are… complicated. I'm intrigued, but also slightly suspicious.
I'm hoping she gets a bit more development in future episodes. Give us some backstory, please! Let us understand her better.

Final Verdict: Still Watching, But With Slightly Lower Expectations
Overall, episode 3 wasn't a terrible episode. It just wasn't a great one. It felt a little bit like treading water. We all have those days.
Will I keep watching? Absolutely! I'm invested in these characters. I want to see if Fogg can actually pull this crazy thing off.
But I'm hoping the next episode picks up the pace. Let's get back on track! Time is ticking! We only have 80 days, after all.
What did you think of episode 3? Am I being too harsh? Let me know in the comments! And may your travels be less… detour-y.
