Vacation House Rules Season 2 Episode 11 Location

Okay, let's talk about that cabin! You know, the one from Vacation House Rules Season 2, Episode 11.
Was it just me, or was everyone a little obsessed? I mean, a cabin is a cabin, right?
The "Rustic" Retreat - Really?
They called it rustic. I call it… well, let’s just say “cozy.”
Must Read
Don't get me wrong, Scott McGillivray is a genius. Debra Salmoni adds that perfect touch.
But this particular place? It felt a tad underwhelming, location-wise.
Where Exactly Was This Cabin, Anyway?
Okay, the show highlights the transformation. Understandably! We focus on the design elements.
But the location felt…generic cabin country. Were we supposed to just be amazed by any trees?
They mentioned it was near some lake region, but specifics were scarce.

I’m not saying it needed to be lakeside. But, give us a landmark!
Did anyone else find themselves Googling "generic Ontario cabin"? Just me?
My Unpopular Opinion: Location Matters!
I know, I know. Blasphemy! Vacation House Rules is about the house, not the view.
But come on! A great vacation rental needs both! It's a package deal!
A beautiful cabin in the middle of nowhere? Fun for a weekend. Not exactly a five-star getaway though.

Give me mountain views! Ocean breeze! Maybe even a quirky small town nearby.
This cabin? It felt like it was hiding. Maybe it was! Maybe they wanted to obscure the location, which is fair.
But that secrecy kinda made it less appealing. Mystery can be good! But not when I am trying to plan my next vacation.
The Potential Was There, Though
The show is incredible at transforming spaces! They are the kings of re-design.
They clearly maximized the cabin's potential. Those bunk beds? Inspired!
The interior was definitely elevated. Debra totally nailed the vibe.

But even the best design can’t completely compensate for a… less-than-thrilling location.
Let's Be Real: It's All Relative
Okay, maybe I'm being harsh. Location is subjective. I know.
Some people crave total isolation! Peace and quiet! The sound of birds!
I’m sure someone found the cabin’s remote location perfect! And that's awesome.
But for me? A vacation is about exploring. Seeing new things. Trying new restaurants.

This cabin felt... tucked away. Too tucked away, perhaps?
Ultimately, Vacation House Rules is about making the most of what you have. And they certainly did!
They turned a plain cabin into a great space. I’ll give them that.
Maybe I just need a vacation. Perhaps Scott and Debra could find me the perfect spot!
Preferably with a view. And maybe a decent coffee shop within walking distance. Is that too much to ask?
