Twittering Birds Never Fly The Storm Breaks

Okay, confession time. I have a controversial opinion. Get ready. Brace yourselves.
Twitter is… overrated. I said it!
Birds That Tweet, Don't Soar
Think about it. Birds are majestic. They fly high. They build nests. They sing beautiful songs. But, do you see them constantly pecking at tiny glowing rectangles?
Must Read
Nope. And that's my point exactly.
Instead of soaring to great heights, some birds prefer to tweet. Constantly updating the world on their breakfast choices. Sharing links to cat videos.
I’m not saying it's all bad. But is anyone really benefitting from knowing what @BirdLover88 had for breakfast?

I argue that the time spent crafting the perfect 280-character masterpiece could be better spent...flying! Or building a nest. Or, you know, finding worms.
Storms and Echo Chambers
And then there's the storm. The digital storm, that is. It's a constant downpour of opinions, arguments, and outrage.
It seems like every day there's a new #CancelSomething trend. Everyone's shouting. Nobody's listening.
It's exhausting! Remember when the internet was supposed to bring us all together? Now, it feels like it's tearing us apart.

Even worse is the echo chamber effect. We end up surrounded by people who already agree with us.
Our own opinions are just bouncing back to us, louder and louder. It’s not exactly conducive to growth or understanding, is it?
And the algorithms feed into it. They see what we like and give us more of the same. We are happily trapped in a box. A box filled with validation, but not much else.
The Real World Awaits
Look, I understand the appeal. Twitter is a quick and easy way to connect with people. It can be a great source of news and information.

But sometimes, I feel like we're missing out on the real world. The one that exists outside our screens. The one with actual birds, actual trees, and actual conversations.
When was the last time you put down your phone and just listened to the birds sing? Or watched a sunset without feeling the need to Instagram it?
Maybe, just maybe, we need to disconnect. Escape the digital storm. Find some real sunshine.
I know I'm probably going to get roasted for this. The Twitterverse will be all over me.

But, if even one person puts down their phone and goes outside today because of this, then it was worth it.
So, fly free, my friends! Soar above the tweets. Embrace the real world. And maybe, just maybe, leave your phone at home.
Don't get me wrong, I will still check @ElonMusk Twitter feed. Guilty as charged!
It's okay to use social media. Just remember, real life is happening right now. Go live it!
