Tsuki To Laika To Nosferatu Episode 1

Okay, Let's Talk About That Vampire Anime...Thing
So, I watched the first episode of Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu. It's got a cool name, right? Moon, Laika, Nosferatu...sounds promising.
But here's the thing. Am I the only one who felt...underwhelmed? I mean, the art style is nice. But something felt a little off.
The Premise: Kinda Out There, Right?
A vampire girl training to be an astronaut? Okay, show, I'm listening. The whole Soviet space race angle is kinda interesting, too.
Must Read
But the pacing? A bit slow, perhaps? We spend a lot of time with Lev Leps. He's a dedicated dude, I get it. But maybe a little TOO dedicated?
Like, buddy, relax! Maybe grab a space-themed coffee or something. It's the future (or, like, the retro-future), lighten up!
Irina Luminesk: Our Fanged Hope?
And then there's Irina. The vampire cosmonaut! She’s obviously the main draw, the whole reason we're watching, right?

She doesn’t talk much, which is fine. Mysterious is cool. But I needed a little more… something. A spark! Maybe a little more bite (pun intended).
I’m not saying she’s boring. Just…waiting for her to really sink her teeth (another pun!) into the role.
The "Training" Montage: Seen It Before?
Of course, we get a training montage. Because what space anime doesn't have a training montage?

Running on treadmills, spinning in chairs... Yep, seen it all before. Needed a little more of a unique twist. Perhaps vampire-specific exercise?
Like, avoiding sunlight during training? Maybe a garlic-free meal plan? Missed opportunities!
My "Unpopular" Opinion?
So, here it is. The big, scary, "unpopular" opinion. Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu Episode 1...wasn't amazing. There, I said it!
It was...okay. Perfectly watchable. But not the instant classic some people seem to think it is.

I expected something that grabbed me by the jugular (okay, I'll stop with the vampire jokes now). What I got was...mildly intriguing.
Will I Keep Watching?
Probably! Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving up on it yet. The premise is still interesting enough.
And I'm genuinely curious to see what happens with Irina. She's got potential!

But I'm hoping the next episode brings a little more...oomph. A little more excitement. A little more space vampire awesomeness! Come on, show, surprise me!
Final Thoughts (For Now)
Maybe it's a slow burn. Maybe it's building to something incredible. I hope so!
But for now, Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu Episode 1 gets a solid... "meh." Don't @ me!
Though feel free to tell me why I'm wrong. Maybe you saw something I missed? Let's discuss! But be nice, I'm fragile.
