Tonikawa Over The Moon For You Crunchyroll

Okay, let's talk about Tonikawa: Over The Moon For You on Crunchyroll. It's cute, right? Super wholesome.
Everyone seems to adore it. But... am I the only one who finds it a little too sweet?
My (Probably) Unpopular Opinion on Tonikawa
Don't get me wrong. I appreciate a good love story. And Crunchyroll is my go-to for anime goodness.
Must Read
But Tonikawa sometimes feels like I'm overdosing on sugar. It's like eating a whole box of chocolates in one sitting. Pleasant, sure, but ultimately… sickeningly sweet!
The Cutest Couple Ever? Maybe...
Nasa and Tsukasa are adorable. They really are.
Their instant marriage? Kind of wild, but hey, anime logic, right? I'm willing to suspend disbelief.

However, their relationship is so perfect, it's almost unbelievable. Where's the conflict? The drama? The awkward silences?
I mean, even my relationships have awkward silences! And I'm not even married to a mysterious, possibly immortal, space princess.
The Mystery... Or Lack Thereof
Tsukasa's backstory is intriguing, I'll give it that. The whole Kaguya-hime connection? Clever.

But the anime kinda teases it, then... does nothing. We get glimpses, hints, but no real answers! Come on, Crunchyroll, give us something to chew on!
I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. For some dark secret to be revealed. But mostly, it's just fluff.
Where's the Spice?
Look, I'm not asking for Game of Thrones level drama. But a little bit of spice wouldn't hurt, right?
Some minor disagreement? A misunderstanding? Even a slightly burnt dinner would be a welcome change of pace!

Anything to show that Nasa and Tsukasa are actual people, not just perfectly crafted romance robots. I'm pretty sure there's a bit of humanity in them, though.
Don't Get Me Wrong, It's Good!
I am not trying to trash Tonikawa. It's a well-made anime, beautifully animated and voiced.
And it is relaxing to watch. It's the perfect show to unwind after a long day and forget the stresses of life.

It is just... a bit too perfect for my taste. Maybe I just need a little more chaos in my anime life.
So, Am I the Only One?
Is anyone else out there secretly wishing for a little more… something from Tonikawa? Or am I destined to be forever alone in my slightly cynical appreciation of this saccharine series?
Maybe I should just embrace the sweetness and enjoy the ride. After all, a little bit of fluff never hurt anyone, right? But i am still hoping something big is brewing.
And who knows, maybe season three will finally give us some answers. We can stream it on Crunchyroll, of course!
