This Is Us Season 5 Episode 7 Cast

Okay, let's talk This Is Us, specifically Season 5, Episode 7. You know, the one with all the feels? Prepare for some potentially controversial opinions. I said potentially.
The Core Four (Five?)
Of course, we've got our regulars. Milo Ventimiglia as Jack? Still dreamy. Even with the '70s mustache. I secretly miss that stache. Don't judge me.
Mandy Moore, our queen, is Rebecca. She can make me cry just by looking at a plate of mashed potatoes. Seriously, her range is insane. I'm not crying, you're crying.
Must Read
Then there's Sterling K. Brown as Randall. He's always dealing with something profound. I admire his ability to wear expensive-looking sweaters while contemplating the universe.
And let's not forget Chrissy Metz playing Kate. Kate's journey is always relatable, even if I haven't personally misplaced my car keys in a decade. I have lost my phone countless times though.

Lastly, we have Justin Hartley as Kevin. While he is indeed handsome, I maintain that Kevin's storyline is sometimes...the least interesting? Unpopular opinion, I know. Fight me in the comments.
The Supporting Squad
Susan Kelechi Watson as Beth is fantastic, as always. I need a Beth in my life to deliver sassy truth bombs. Someone who can make me laugh even when I'm spiraling.
Chris Sullivan as Toby is great too. He brings the funny and the feels, often at the same time. It's a tricky balance, but he nails it. Who else gets worried when Toby seems too happy?

Griffin Dunne as Nicky is always a wild card. I'm never quite sure what he's going to do, but I'm here for it. Is he going to offer sage advice, or start a bar fight? Place your bets!
And let's give it up for Phylicia Rashad as Carol Clarke! She always knows just what to say (or not say) to nudge Randall in the right direction. She is the mother figure we all need.

Guest Appearances and Flashbacks
This episode wouldn't be complete without a flashback. Gotta love seeing young Jack and Rebecca navigating parenthood. Though, I secretly wish they'd stop showing Jack's perfect dad moments because it makes me feel inadequate.
Sometimes there are a few new faces popping up in the episode. New characters usually mean new drama. I love the casting choices they always do. I always wish I could be an extra.
My Unpopular Opinion Corner
Okay, confession time. I find the whole "Kevin becoming a serious actor" plotline a bit...meh. I know, I know, it's character development. It's supposed to be inspiring. But I just don't find the Hollywood drama that engaging. Maybe I need more sparkle, I don't know.

Also, can we all agree that Jack Pearson, while wonderful, is just a little bit too perfect? I'm just saying, give the man some flaws! Show me him burning dinner or forgetting an anniversary. Make him relatable!
And lastly, is it just me, or does Randall sometimes overthink things? He worries. A lot. I understand it's part of his character, but sometimes I just want to yell at the TV, "Randall, just chill!".
Don't get me wrong, I adore This Is Us. I'm just saying, a little bit of healthy skepticism keeps things interesting. Besides, complaining about my favorite show is basically a hobby at this point. What are your unpopular opinions about the show? Let's discuss.
