The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 5 Full

Alright, let's talk The Walking Dead. Specifically, Season 7 Episode 5, "Go Getters." You know, the one everyone seems to skip during re-watches?
I have a confession. I... kinda liked it. Okay, maybe "liked" is too strong. But I wasn't reaching for the fast-forward button every five minutes.
Hilltop Hijinks (or Lack Thereof)
So, Maggie and Sasha arrive at Hilltop. Gregory, oh Gregory, is being Gregory. A spineless, self-serving leader. Surprise!
Must Read
We get it, dude. You're intimidated by strong women. Get over it, seriously.
And Jesus? Well, he's being... Jesus. Cryptic, helpful, and oddly good at parkour. The guy just appears places. It's unnerving.
The Saviors Show Up (Duh)
Of course, the Saviors arrive. Because that's what they do. Extortion is their love language, apparently.

Simon, Negan's right-hand man, is... well, he's smarmy. In a strangely watchable way. You know, the kind of villain you love to hate?
Let's be real, though. The whole poisoned well thing? A little cartoonish, even for The Walking Dead. Did anyone actually think Maggie was going to drink it?
Carl and Enid: A Teenage Love Story (Kind Of)
Okay, this is where things get...interesting. Carl and Enid decide to head to Hilltop. On foot. Because why not add more danger to an already dangerous situation?

Their road trip is basically a series of awkward glances, stolen kisses, and zombie-killing montages. Peak teenage romance, right?
And Enid's constant "I love you"? Sweet, but also... a little much, girl. Give Carl a chance to breathe!
My Unpopular Opinion: It Wasn't That Bad
Look, I get it. "Go Getters" isn't exactly a thrill ride. It's slow, character-driven, and mostly sets up future conflicts. But that's not always a bad thing!

We get to see Maggie start to come into her own as a leader. We see Sasha grappling with grief. We see Carl being… Carl. (Still not entirely sure what that means, tbh.)
Maybe I'm just a sucker for character development. Or maybe I'm just trying to find the good in a season that's often considered one of the show's weakest.
But honestly, I didn't hate it. I found it… mildly engaging. There. I said it.

Don't get me wrong, The Walking Dead has definitely had its ups and downs. Remember the whispering storylines? But even during its slump, it was worth watching.
So, the next time you're re-watching The Walking Dead, give "Go Getters" another shot. You might be surprised. Or you might still hate it. Either way, at least you'll have an opinion. And isn't that what really matters?
And hey, at least it's not "The Well." That episode? I’m reaching for the skip button every time. Ezekiel and Shiva, I love you but... no.
