The Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 6

A Cozy Cabin Getaway...With Zombies? Let's Talk "Always Accountable"!
Okay, folks, picture this: you, your significant other (or, you know, your dog), a roaring fire, and a good book. Sounds idyllic, right? Well, swap out the dog for a zombie horde and the book for a rusty pipe wrench, and you're pretty much living the dream that was The Walking Dead Season 6, Episode 6: "Always Accountable."
This episode throws us right into the thick of it with Daryl, Abraham, and Sasha on their highway patrol mission. Suddenly, BOOM! A bunch of gun-toting thugs try to steal their fuel. Rude, right? It's like someone cutting in line at Disneyland for Space Mountain.
Naturally, a chaotic chase ensues, scattering our trusty trio. Daryl, ever the lone wolf (and total badass), gets separated and stumbles upon...well, we'll get to that in a minute. Let's just say it involves a lot less cuddling than my ideal cabin getaway.
Must Read
Daryl's Not-So-Excellent Adventure
So, Daryl gets knocked out. He wakes up, robbed of his crossbow (the ultimate betrayal!) and captured by a trio of seemingly friendly, yet obviously shifty, strangers. They claim they're just trying to survive. But are they really?
These people are all about "earning" things, and giving them the "easy way out". I swear, I've heard similar stuff from people trying to get me to sign up for timeshares. Nope! Daryl doesn't buy it for a second.

Things escalate, naturally, because it's The Walking Dead and tranquility is a myth. Cue the zombie ambush! Our man Daryl proves, once again, why he's the zombie apocalypse MVP. He's basically Liam Neeson with a crossbow (or, you know, whatever he can get his hands on).
Meanwhile, Back on the Road...
While Daryl's wrestling with moral dilemmas and undead hordes, Abraham is having a completely normal, not-at-all-weird existential crisis with Sasha. He's suddenly all about starting a new life, like he just saw a motivational poster about seizing the day.
He's seeing the world in a new way, and basically wants to get with Sasha! This romance subplot felt a little like adding pineapple to pizza – some people love it, others (like me) are deeply suspicious.

Sasha, ever the voice of reason, tries to gently steer him away from his feelings. She tells him he is struggling and probably needs a bit of space to work through his current problems. Smart lady.
The Return of the Saviors? Maybe?
Remember those thugs who stole their fuel? Turns out, they work for someone named Negan. A name that is going to become very, very important very, very soon.

We hear a cryptic message on the walkie-talkie at the end of the episode. Someone’s asking for help and saying they belong to Negan. Oh boy. It's like the writers are planting seeds of dread for something truly terrifying.
It is important to note that Daryl hears the call and decides to help. I think, in the end, Daryl made the choice to stay good.
Final Thoughts: "Always Accountable" is Pretty Good!
So, was "Always Accountable" a groundbreaking, edge-of-your-seat masterpiece? Maybe not. But it did give us some solid Daryl Dixon action, a peek into Abraham's surprisingly complex psyche, and a whole lot of foreshadowing for the arrival of the show's most infamous villain.

The episode reminded us that even in a world overrun by zombies, the biggest threat often comes from other people. Kind of like online dating, but with more rotting flesh.
All in all, a decent episode that sets the stage for the chaos that's about to come. So buckle up, buttercup, because The Walking Dead is about to get a whole lot uglier. And I, for one, am here for it.
"We ain't saving the world. I know that now. I was wrong. " - Daryl Dixon
