The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 Episode 1

Okay, Let's Talk Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 Episode 1
Remember when we were all hyped for Seven Deadly Sins Season 5? Yeah, me too. Episode 1 dropped, and... well, let's just say my expectations and reality had a slight disagreement.
I’m just going to say it. It wasn't exactly a banger start, was it? Don't get me wrong, I still love the series. But this episode felt like it was still setting the stage.
Meliodas: Still Our Favorite Pervert?
Meliodas is always... well, Meliodas. You know, the lovable (and slightly creepy) captain? He’s still touching Elizabeth inappropriately.
Must Read
I feel like they leaned a little too hard on his usual antics. It's old. Get new jokes.
Elizabeth: The Damsel (Still?)
Okay, Elizabeth is beautiful and kind, we get it. But is she ever going to actually fight?

I'm tired of seeing her playing the damsel in distress. Give her a sword, or some magic lessons, or SOMETHING! She's powerful, but she almost never shows it.
The Plot Thickens (Slowly)
The actual plot in this episode? It's kind of there. We got hints of what's to come with the whole Demon King situation.
Zeldris is up to something. The episode felt like a long prologue. The plot is so slow. The pacing is so slow.

Animation Woes
Alright, let's address the elephant in the room: the animation. Was it just me, or did some parts look… off? I know budget issues are a thing.
The animation quality dropped significantly compared to previous seasons. The animation needs to catch up.
Where's the Excitement?
I get it, it's the first episode of a season. But where was the hook? The thing that makes you scream and wait for the next episode?

This episode felt more like a recap than a thrilling continuation. It's building tension. We should already BE THERE.
My Unpopular Opinion?
Here's the thing, and I know I might get flak for this. Episode 1 was… mediocre.
It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the epic return I was hoping for. I really hope the series get better.

I'm still holding out hope. The Seven Deadly Sins has given us some incredible moments. I’m hoping the season picks up soon.
What did YOU think?
Was I too harsh? Did you love episode one? Tell me your thoughts!
Maybe I'm just being impatient. It feels like a setup for grander things. Fingers crossed!
