The Rookie Season 4 Episode 6 Guest Cast

Okay, let’s talk about The Rookie, specifically Season 4, Episode 6. You know, the one with all the guest stars. Were there too many? Maybe. Did I spend half the episode Googling "Who's that actor?" Definitely.
Familiar Faces and New Kids on the Block
First up, we have Jenna Dewan returning as Bailey Nune. I know, I know, she's practically a regular now. But let's be honest, Bailey’s a welcome distraction from all the police drama. Plus, her firefighter skills are occasionally useful.
Then there’s Tru Valentino as Aaron Thorsen. He always brings a nice level of earnestness to the show. It is refreshing to see a different dynamic in the cop world.
Must Read
Now, for the guest stars who really guest starred. The ones you might have scratched your head over. Ready to dive in?
The "Wait, Where Do I Know Them From?" Crew
Did anyone else do a double-take when Dylan Conrique showed up as Tamara Colins? She pops up in many different shows these days! Anyone agree?

And how about Brent Huff? He played Officer Smitty. You've probably seen him lurking in other cop shows, somewhere in the background. I am pretty sure he also sells insurance in a commercial... just kidding.
Okay, I am not gonna lie. I had to look up Nicolas Bechtel who played Spencer Martin. I vaguely remembered him from something, but I couldn't place it.
The "Unsung Hero" Award Goes To...
Let's not forget the actors who played the one-episode villains and quirky characters. They often make or break these kinds of episodes. The bad guy can make or break the tension.

Like the actor who played the overly enthusiastic witness. You know, the one who described the crime in excruciating detail, but got everything wrong? Classic.
These smaller roles might not be glamorous, but they add so much flavor to the show. I appreciate these actors taking these roles for the show.

My Unpopular Opinion
Okay, brace yourselves. Here's my totally subjective and possibly controversial opinion. Sometimes, The Rookie tries to cram in too many guest stars. Especially in episodes like this one.
It's like they're trying to show off their Rolodex (does anyone even use those anymore?). Instead of focusing on the main characters' development. Anyone feels the same?
Don't get me wrong, I love seeing new faces. And Jenna Dewan can guest star on my screen any day! But when the guest cast overwhelms the plot, it gets a little distracting. The writers have a delicate balance to keep.

Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm just a grumpy old millennial who prefers familiar faces and predictable storylines. Let me know if you agree.
Ultimately, The Rookie Season 4 Episode 6 was still entertaining. Even if I spent half the time playing "Name That Guest Star". What can you do?
And hey, at least I learned a few new actors to stalk... I mean, follow on social media. So, thanks, The Rookie!
