The Dog-Gate Debacle

Oh boy, Dog-Gate. Dorit Kemsley and Lucy Lucy Apple Juice. It was a whole thing. A puppy rehoming gone terribly wrong.

Honestly? It dragged on. Like, way too long. Maybe it's just me, but I was over it by episode three.

Lisa Vanderpump's Exit

Then there was Lisa Vanderpump's departure. Cue the sad violins. The queen of Beverly Hills, gone.

But here's my controversial take: maybe it was time. The ladies ganged up on her. The tension was palpable.

LVP's absence definitely shifted the dynamic. But did it make the show better? Jury's still out.

Denise Richards Joins the Fray

Denise Richards joined the cast! She brought a fresh, laid-back vibe. She seemed... normal.

For a while, anyway. Things got crazy later with Denise. But Season 9 Denise was mostly just confused by the drama. She was "California Cool."

The Other Ladies' Adventures

Kyle Richards was, well, Kyle. Stirring the pot, as usual. And of course, advertising her store.

Erika Jayne continued to be fabulous. Her performances were amazing. Her glam squad needs a raise!

Teddi Mellencamp tried to stay out of trouble. Tried being the key word! She was always involved in some drama.

Lisa Rinna, bless her heart, kept things interesting. Between her wigs and her outrageous statements, she always delivers. Love her or hate her, Rinna keeps things spicy.

My Unpopular Opinion: Season 9 Was…Okay

Here's the tea: I think Season 9 was... just okay. Controversial, I know!

The drama felt manufactured. The friendships felt strained. It all felt a little…heavy.

Dog-Gate overshadowed everything. LVP's absence loomed large. It felt like everyone was walking on eggshells.

Was it Entertaining? Sure.

Don't get me wrong, I watched every episode. I laughed, I gasped, I rolled my eyes. It's still Real Housewives, after all!

But compared to other seasons? It just didn't quite hit the mark. Maybe it was the shifting alliances. Maybe it was the endless negativity.

Or maybe, just maybe, I'm being too critical! But as a long-time viewer, something felt off.
