The Night That Didn't End Season 1 Episode 3

Okay, Let's Talk 'The Night That Didn't End' - Episode 3
Alright, everyone. We need to have a little chat. About that episode.
Specifically, episode 3 of The Night That Didn't End. The one where half the internet decided to become a detective.
Seriously, What Was With the Flashbacks?
Remember all those flashbacks? Yeah, me too. Way too many flashbacks.
Must Read
It felt like they were trying to pad out the runtime. I get it, backstory is important.
But did we really need to see Detective Miller's awkward middle school dance? I'm not so sure.
Listen, I appreciate character development. It makes me feel connected.
However, I think the show took a bit too long on things that were not that interesting. What do you think?

The Obvious Suspect...Too Obvious?
Let's be real. They practically screamed, "It's Old Man Withers!" from the rooftops.
Was I supposed to think it was actually him? Did anyone actually believe that he did it?
That's way too simple, guys. Too simple! I bet you guessed it's him at the beginning.
I mean, I know they needed a red herring. But couldn't they have made it a slightly less obvious red herring?

The writers underestimated my intelligence, or maybe I've watched too many crime shows! Either way, I was able to see right through the trick.
Unpopular Opinion: I Liked Sarah's New Hair
Okay, brace yourselves. I'm about to say something controversial.
I actually liked Sarah's new haircut! Everyone was complaining it was unrealistic for someone in hiding.
But I thought it looked cute. And she needed a win after all that drama. Don't @ me!

The Cliffhanger...Again?!
Of course, they ended on another cliffhanger. Are we surprised?
My poor heart can't take this much suspense every week. Give us a break, writers!
It's like they're deliberately trying to drive us all mad. Can't wait for the next episode, though!
Though I have my problems with episode 3, I'll still be back next week. What do you think about this?

Final Verdict
Episode 3 was...fine. Not the best, not the worst. Just fine.
A lot of filler and too-obvious clues. They could have done better, honestly.
Here's hoping the rest of the season picks up the pace. I have faith! (Maybe.)
But hey, at least Officer Davies looked good. That's worth something, right?
Let me know what you think. Am I completely off base? Are you still reeling from the flashbacks?
Sound off in the comments! Until then, happy watching (and theorizing!).
