我 的 英雄 學院 The Movie Heroes Rising

Okay, let’s talk My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising. You know, that movie where everyone was saying it was the "real ending?"
Don't get me wrong, I love My Hero Academia. I've spent way too much money on merch. But hear me out.
A Movie That Divides?
Heroes Rising drops Class 1-A on Nabu Island. They’re supposed to be mini-heroes while the pros are…somewhere else. Chaos ensues, naturally. Cue villains, epic battles, and tear-jerking moments.
Must Read
But is it really the perfect finale everyone hypes it up to be? I'm not so sure.
The Villain Problem
Nine is supposed to be the big bad. A super-powerful dude with multiple Quirks? Sounds awesome.
Except...does anyone actually remember anything about him? I mean, beyond the fact that he's strong and kinda mumbled?
Seriously, his backstory felt thinner than my chances of getting a Quirk in real life. #QuirklessProblems.

He was basically just a vehicle for Deku and Bakugo to do their amazing double act. Which, admittedly, was pretty darn great.
The Power-Up Paradox
Speaking of Deku and Bakugo, let's address the elephant in the room: One For All transfer.
It was a HUGE moment. But did it make sense? Did it feel earned? Honestly...not really.
It felt like a plot device to raise the stakes and give us a cool fight scene. Which, again, worked. But at what cost to the overall story?!

Also, the potential ramifications of that moment are…completely ignored in the actual series. Continuity, where are you?
Unsung Heroes (and Forgotten Villains)
The other members of Class 1-A get their moments to shine, for sure. We see them using their Quirks in creative ways to help the islanders. That's the spirit.
However, did anyone really get a substantial arc in this movie? I'd argue no. They were more like background dancers in the Deku and Bakugo show. Which is a shame.
And let's not even talk about the other villains. They were basically just there to get punched.

A villain needs motivations! Give them layers! Make us feel something other than mild annoyance!
Is that too much to ask?
The "Ending" That Wasn't
People were saying Heroes Rising was the "real ending" because of the emotional weight and the potential implications for One For All.
But the series kept going! And honestly, it’s still going strong. So…where does that leave this "perfect ending?"

It feels more like a cool "what if?" scenario. A fun alternate timeline.
Look, I enjoyed watching Deku and Bakugo absolutely wreck shop together. The animation was top-notch. The soundtrack was epic.
But is it a perfect movie? Nah. Is it the "real ending"? Definitely not.
Is it still worth watching? Absolutely! Just maybe temper your expectations a bit. Don’t buy into the hype too much.
So, there you have it. My probably unpopular opinion on My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch the Sports Festival arc. That was peak MHA in my humble opinion.
