Honestly, I was rooting for her to choose herself! Maybe a solo trip to a remote island. Just me?

And what about Finley? She’s a lovable mess, we all know it. But this season, she seemed… stuck.
Her struggles with sobriety felt real, but her story felt underdeveloped. More Finley growth, please!
I wanted to see her thrive! Is that too much to ask?
The Bette, Tina, and Carrie Triangle (again!)
Okay, I'm going to say it: I'm kind of over the Bette/Tina drama. It's like revisiting a well-trodden path.
Don't get me wrong, I love them both. But is it really necessary to dredge up the past every season?
And then there's Carrie. Sweet, sweet Carrie. She deserved better than to be caught in the crossfire, I think.
Shane… Being Shane
Shane, bless her heart. She's still effortlessly cool, perpetually commitment-phobic.
Did her storyline go anywhere? Debatable. But she provided some much-needed comic relief.
Honestly, I think we all secretly admire her ability to just… be Shane. I'm guilty as charged.
Micah and Maribel: The Cutest Couple!
Okay, something I actually enjoyed: Micah and Maribel! Finally, some stability and cuteness!
Their relationship felt genuine and refreshing. More Micah and Maribel in future seasons, please and thank you!
They gave me hope. And honestly, after all the drama, I needed it.
The Cliffhanger Ending (of course!)
And of course, the finale ended with a massive cliffhanger! Because why not?
Sophie finally made a decision (maybe?). Bette is… well, Bette. And everyone else is left hanging in the balance.
I'm not even mad, I'm just… resigned. Bring on Season 3 (if we get one)!
Unpopular Opinion Time
Here's my possibly unpopular opinion: I think the show tries too hard to be edgy and dramatic.
Sometimes, I just want to see these characters happy and thriving. Is that so wrong?
Maybe a little less angst and a little more joy next season? Just a thought.
Ultimately, I still love The L Word: Generation Q. It’s messy, it's imperfect, and it keeps me coming back for more.
Even if I do occasionally want to throw my remote at the TV.
