The Tale of Timmy Two-Thumbs and the Guild of Glorious… Bakers?
Picture this: a grand hall, banners flapping, the smell of adventure (and slightly burnt toast) hangs in the air. This is the Guild of Glorious… Bakers! Yep, bakers. Not exactly dragons and dungeons, is it? But hey, everyone needs bread.
And our story begins with Timmy Two-Thumbs, a young lad whose only aspiration was to join this esteemed (and carb-loaded) society. He dreamed of kneading, proofing, and creating sourdough masterpieces. But alas, dreams aren’t always reality, are they?
A Talent… Of Sorts
Now, Timmy wasn't exactly… gifted in the baking department. His bread resembled rocks more than fluffy clouds, his cakes were flatter than a pancake after a steamroller convention, and his pies? Well, let's just say the birds refused to eat them.

But Timmy was persistent! He tried every recipe, watched every tutorial, even talked to the yeast (which, frankly, was a bit weird). Still, disaster after delicious disaster piled up.
The Guild members, bless their flour-dusted hearts, tried to be encouraging. Master Crusty, the head baker with a beard that could rival a small squirrel, offered pointers. “More flour, Timmy! Less…explosion!” he’d bellow gently.
The Skill No One Wanted
Turns out, Timmy did have a skill. A very specific, very…odd skill. Timmy was remarkably good at predicting when the ovens were about to malfunction. Not fixing them, mind you. Just predicting it.
He could sense the imminent doom of a heating element with a twitch of his nose. A subtle shift in the air told him when the temperature was about to plummet. It was uncanny! It was…useless? At least, that’s what everyone initially thought.
Imagine it: “Uh, Master Crusty, I sense… trouble! The oven in the west wing… it’s going to… well, it’s going to stop working in approximately seven minutes and thirty-two seconds!” Useful for avoiding burnt bread, perhaps? Probably not.
“Timmy, lad,” Old Man Rye, the oldest (and arguably grumpiest) member of the Guild, would grumble, “can you bake something edible for once instead of predicting oven apocalypses?”
A Brewing Catastrophe
But then, disaster struck! The annual Great Bake-Off was fast approaching. The Guild was preparing to showcase their finest creations to the entire kingdom. Reputations were on the line! And the ovens? They were acting up.
Constantly fluctuating temperatures, inconsistent heating, strange noises – the ovens were rebelling! Master Crusty was pulling his hair out (mixing it into the dough, unfortunately). Old Man Rye was grumbling louder than ever.
The Guild was in chaos! Could they salvage the Bake-Off? Could they possibly bake enough goods to satisfy the hungry hordes? And could Timmy Two-Thumbs, the boy with the worthless skill, possibly save the day?
