Okay, let's talk about The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. It was a weird show. But that's why we loved it, right?
Billy: Lovable Idiot or Just Plain Annoying?
Billy is the heart, or maybe the brain, of the show. Or maybe he has no brain. I'm not sure.
Some people find him hilarious. He's goofy, optimistic, and usually the cause of all the chaos. But sometimes, just sometimes, he grates on your nerves. Okay, maybe more than sometimes. Unpopular opinion: I kinda wanted him to accidentally fall into the Underworld permanently.

Mandy: Queen of Darkness or Underappreciated Genius?
Mandy is the opposite of Billy. She's cynical, smart, and terrifying. She might actually be the scariest character on TV, and that includes horror movies.
Some see her as evil, a pint-sized tyrant. She never smiles, and she manipulates everyone. But I think she’s the smartest person in the show. She always saves the day...usually.
Honestly, Mandy's the only reason things don't completely fall apart. Someone has to keep Billy (and Grim) in check!
Grim: The Reluctant Best Friend (or Slave?)
Grim, the Grim Reaper, is stuck with Billy and Mandy forever. Talk about bad luck! He just wanted to reap souls in peace.
He's the comic relief, but also the voice of reason. He clearly regrets losing that limbo game. He should've rigged it.
Let's be honest, Grim is probably the most relatable character. He's just trying to get by. He's the ultimate babysitter from hell (literally).
Nergal: The Ultimate Lonely Guy?
Poor Nergal! All he wanted was a friend. He tried so hard. And failed spectacularly.
He's a demon who lives underground and tries to win Mandy's affection. It never works. Ever. You almost feel bad for the guy. Almost.
I feel like we all know a Nergal in our lives. Someone who’s just a little too eager to please. He is a bit creepy though.
Other Characters: A Wild Bunch
The show has so many other weird and wonderful characters. Hoss Delgado, Eris, Irwin, and Fred Fredburger are awesome.
Hoss Delgado is a crazy monster hunter. Eris is the goddess of chaos. Irwin is the nerdy kid with a crush on Mandy. Fred Fredburger... well, he just likes frozen yogurt. And yes!
They all add something special to the show. Each are just as weird as Billy and Mandy. What an odd bunch.
The Enduring Appeal
The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy was a unique show. It was funny, dark, and totally bizarre. I'd be lying if i didn't say it shaped my humour as a kid.
It's still a classic. It taught us that friendship can be found in the strangest places. Even with a Grim Reaper.
