The Good Place Season 3 Episode 1 Full Episode

Okay, let's talk The Good Place. Specifically, season 3 episode 1. Get ready for some potentially controversial opinions.
Reboot? Re-what-now?
We all remember how season 2 ended, right? Michael messes with the timeline. He gives Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jason a second chance on Earth. Cue the chaos.
Season 3 starts with all of them back in the land of the living. They have no memories of their afterlife shenanigans. It's like a cosmic do-over!
Must Read
My unpopular opinion? This reboot thing felt a little rushed.
Earth Shenanigans
Seeing Eleanor trying to not be a garbage person is… entertaining. It’s also kinda predictable, right? She's fighting her inner demons. Literally.
Chidi, bless his heart, is still agonizing over every decision. His indecisiveness is both relatable and incredibly frustrating. Anyone else feel that?

Tahani is trying to become a humanitarian. Jason is... well, Jason. He's still Jason. And honestly, that's perfect.
The whole "they almost meet each other" montage? Cute. But stretched out. I’m ready for them to be back together in whatever afterlife version Michael cooks up next.
Michael's Earth Adventure
Michael and Janet are on Earth too! Michael wants to subtly nudge them towards being better people. Problem? He can't directly interfere.

Watching Michael try to blend in as a human is comedy gold. Ted Danson is a national treasure, let's be honest. His facial expressions alone are worth the price of admission.
Janet's glitches are also hilarious. She's trying so hard to be normal. But her powers keep slipping out. Classic Janet.
Again, little unpopular of me, but I feel like the way Michael tries to subtly nudge the group is kind of too…subtle. I kind of want the group to meet already!

The Professor's Game
Simone shows up! Chidi meets an interesting acquaintance in Australia. She is a neuroscientist studying near-death experiences.
I like Simone. She offers a grounding foil to Chidi's neuroticism. But it felt a tad convenient, didn't it? Another piece of the puzzle sliding into place.
The show is doing so many twists and turns! I just hope it isn't trying too hard to be too clever.

Final Thoughts (for now)
Season 3 episode 1 is a decent start. It sets the stage for the rest of the season. But it feels like it's taking its time getting there.
I'm still excited to see where the story goes. This is The Good Place, after all! We know there are twists up its sleeve.
I remain cautiously optimistic about Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jason. These characters have heart! I want to see them grow. Even if it takes a few more reboots to get there.
Ultimately, The Good Place is about finding meaning and purpose. Even in the face of eternal damnation. I'm here for it. Are you?
