The Game Of Thrones Season 2 Episode 7

Did Anyone Else Think "A Man Without Honor" Was... Fine?
Okay, okay, hear me out. Game of Thrones Season 2, Episode 7, "A Man Without Honor." It's got some iconic moments, sure. But was it amazing? I'm not totally convinced.
Jaime Lannister: Still a Smug Jerk (But Getting More Interesting)
We're spending more time with Jaime now. He's still chained up. And being sassy, naturally. I guess we're supposed to feel something for him here?
Brienne is trying to keep him in line. He's making her life hard, per usual. I have to admit, their banter is pretty entertaining.
Must Read
Robb Stark's Bad Decisions Pile Up
Oh, Robb, honey, what are you doing? Breaking your vows already? Talisa is charming. But seriously, Robb, think with your head, not...well, you know.
He's got Catelyn giving him the "I told you so" face. And you know what? She's totally right. Poor guy can't catch a break.

"Love is the death of duty."Wise words from Maester Aemon, echoing in my head. Should Robb have listened?
Theon's Plan: Still a Disaster
Theon is still trying to be intimidating. It's not working. He burned some innocent kids. And now he's pretending they're the Stark boys. What a mess.
Even his own men are starting to look at him sideways. This whole Ironborn invasion is going downhill fast. Honestly, I feel more sorry for Theon than scared of him at this point.

Arya Gets Some Face Time (Finally!)
Arya's hanging out with Jaqen H'ghar. Things are getting mysterious. And deadly. Three names, right?
I love how quick-witted Arya is. She's definitely playing the long game. Gotta admire her resourcefulness.
Daenerys: The Khaleesi Experience Continues
Daenerys is still wandering around. She's trying to get her dragons back. And dealing with those pesky Qarth people. Someone needs to give her a break.

This whole Qarth storyline felt a little slow to me. Anyone else agree? Where are those dragons, Dany?
Stannis is Still Intense (and Melisandre is Still Creepy)
Stannis is burning people alive. Melisandre is whispering in his ear. This is all very...Stannis. We need some more lighthearted stuff.
The whole Davos storyline is interesting enough, I guess. But let's be honest: Stannis isn't exactly the most charismatic guy on the show.

Unpopular Opinion: It's a Good Episode, Not a Great One
Look, "A Man Without Honor" is a perfectly fine episode. It moves the plot along. It has some important character development. But is it a top-tier Game of Thrones episode? For me, it is not.
Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe I just wasn't paying close enough attention. But I'd rank it somewhere in the middle. What do you think?
So, to sum up: Jaime is still a pain. Robb is making questionable choices. Theon is failing miserably. And I'm ready for the next episode! Maybe it'll be the truly exceptional episode I'm looking for.
