The whole setup is intriguing, right? Menou, our stoic executioner, meets Akari, a lost Japanese girl with a crazy power. Akari can seemingly rewind time to undo anything. Pretty OP, if you ask me.
Immediately, alarm bells are ringing in Menou's head. She knows what Akari represents: a potential disaster for this fantasy world. No pressure, right?

Meanwhile, Akari is just happy to have a friend. Bless her heart, she has no clue. It’s like watching a lamb being led to slaughter, albeit a very powerful lamb.
The contrast between their personalities is hilarious. One's scheming and serious, the other's... well, not so much. Dynamic like this is what brings the fun.
Unexpected Twists
The big reveal is when Menou tries to, uh, deal with Akari. Surprise! Akari's power makes her practically invincible.
Did anyone actually believe Menou would just straight up kill Akari in the first episode? Come on! I did not.
This sets up the real conflict: how does Menou actually execute someone who can undo everything? Now that's a problem.
The Train Ride
The train scene is actually pretty tense. You can feel the suspicion and mistrust building. Even though Akari remains blissfully unaware.
The animation during the fight scenes is quite impressive. The blend of magic and swordplay is visually appealing. Good stuff!
I also wonder who the heck arranged for that train sabotage and where did they come from? Questions left for us to ponder.
Overall Impressions
Okay, so maybe episode one isn’t perfect. But it definitely grabbed my attention. The setup is intriguing, the characters are interesting, and the premise is… well, kind of messed up.
The whole "execute the isekai protagonist" angle is a fun twist. It's not your typical power fantasy. I found it to be a welcome change. I am intrigued about the concept.
So, yeah, I liked episode one. Sue me. If you are into dark fantasy with yuri undertones and a dash of time travel paradoxes, The Executioner and Her Way of Life might be worth checking out. Maybe I'm easily entertained. But at least I'm honest!
