The Devil Is A Part Timer Voice Actors

Ever Wonder Who Makes the Devil So...Likeable?
Okay, let's talk about The Devil is a Part-Timer! We all love it. Hilarious, right? But have you ever REALLY thought about the voices behind our favorite characters?
I have. And maybe, just maybe, I have some unpopular opinions. Buckle up!
The Man Himself: Maou Sadao
First up, the Devil himself, Maou Sadao. In Japanese, it's the amazing Ryota Osaka. He nails the blend of menacing overlord and struggling fry cook.
Must Read
Then we have the English dub. Josh Grelle takes on the role. He's also great. But sometimes... sometimes I feel like he leans a little too heavily into the "nice guy" part.
Is it just me? Does anyone else miss a little bit of the underlying devilishness? I know, I know, he's trying to be good. But still!
Our Heroine (Sort Of): Emi Yusa
Next, we have the heroine, Emi Yusa! Or is she an anti-heroine? Anyway, she's awesome. Yoko Hikasa voices her in the original Japanese.

Her English voice actress is Tia Ballard. And she's fantastic. Seriously, she captures Emi's frustration and determination perfectly. No complaints here!
Actually, maybe one tiny complaint. Sometimes I wish there was just a teensy bit more sass. But honestly, she's a great fit.
The Lovable (and Annoying) Lucifer: Urushihara Hanzo
Let's not forget the NEET demon, Urushihara Hanzo! Voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto in Japanese. He's just perfect, with his lazy drawl.

In English, it's Anthony Bowling. He does a fantastic job, too! I think he really gets the detached, slightly-irritated vibe of the character.
This is a win for both languages, in my opinion. No changes needed!
The Loyal (and Strong) Alciel: Ashiya Shiro
Now for Ashiya Shiro, Maou's ever-dutiful right-hand man! Yuki Ono voices him in Japanese. Again, superb.
Then we have Alex Moore in the English dub. He's good! Really, really good! But... (here comes another unpopular opinion)...

Do I sometimes find his voice a tad too old for the character? Maybe! Maybe I just picture Ashiya as younger than he sounds. Don't hate me!
And Let's Not Forget...Chiho Sasaki!
Okay, last but not least, let's talk about Chiho Sasaki! She's voiced by Nao Toyama in Japanese, and she brings that bubbly, innocent energy perfectly.
Her English voice actress, Felecia Angelle, also does a great job! She truly portrays Chiho's kindness and unwavering support.

No qualms here, just pure admiration!
Final Thoughts (and Maybe More Unpopular Opinions)
Look, voice acting is hard! And I think everyone involved in The Devil is a Part-Timer! did an amazing job.
But it's fun to compare and contrast, right? To pick apart the nuances and decide who captures the essence of a character just a little bit better.
So, what do you think? Do you agree with my potentially crazy opinions? Or do you have your own voice acting preferences in this anime? Let me know!
