The Case Study Of Vanitas Season 2 Episode 1

Right, Let's Talk Vanitas: Episode 1, Season 2
Okay, people, let's dive in. Season 2 of The Case Study of Vanitas is here! And Episode 1? Well, it was... something, wasn't it?
Did anyone else feel like they spent half the episode yelling at their screens? I swear, Vanitas is just asking for trouble. He's like a cat batting at a Christmas ornament.
The Beast of Gévaudan: More Dramatic Than My Last Breakup
The episode kicks off with the Beast of Gévaudan. Talk about a dramatic entrance. It's all roaring and shadowy figures and, you know, general beastliness.
Must Read
Honestly, my last breakup had less roaring. And definitely less shadowy figures. Just awkward silences and a Spotify playlist full of sad songs.
And then there's Noé. Bless his heart. He's just trying to understand everything. He's like the puppy of the group, all big eyes and wagging tail...metaphorically, of course.

Jeanne: Still Kicking Butt and Taking Names
Jeanne, as always, is a total badass. Seriously, can I have her confidence? And her fashion sense? Preferably at the same time.
She's slicing through the Beast like butter. I'm over here struggling to open a jar of pickles. Where's my Jeanne-level strength?
Her relationship with Luca is still adorable. He's so earnest. Someone protect this precious cinnamon roll at all costs!

My Unpopular Opinion: I'm Kind of Over the Cat and Mouse Game
Okay, here's where I might lose some of you. I'm getting a little tired of the Vanitas and Noé dance. The push and pull, the secrets, the almost-confessions.
Like, guys, just talk it out! Or kiss already! Preferably both. I'm not picky.
It's like watching a really slow-burn romance. Except instead of romance, it's potential world-ending consequences. Slightly different stakes, I guess.

The Ending: Cliffhanger Alert!
Of course, the episode ends on a cliffhanger. Because why wouldn't it? They always do this to us!
Something about the Beast being more than just a beast. Something about a curse. And a whole lot of dramatic music.
I'm already prepping my snacks for the next episode. I need sustenance for all the emotional turmoil I'm expecting.

Overall: Promising Start, But...
Episode 1 was a solid start to Season 2. It had action, mystery, and a healthy dose of angst. All the ingredients for a good anime recipe.
But I'm hoping for more character development this season. And less teasing. Please, writers, throw us a bone! Or a kiss! Or... you know, just something.
So, what did you all think? Was I too harsh? Too lenient? Let me know! (But be nice. I'm sensitive.)
