The Second Jump: Acceptance (Maybe?)

The second jump... now that's interesting. Is it still panic? Or is it something else entirely? Perhaps a dash of defiance?

Maybe, just maybe, this second leap is the carp's attempt to assert some sort of control. A final "screw you" to the inevitable. A watery middle finger, if you will.

I like to think it's acceptance mixed with a healthy dose of "I'm not going down without a fight!" Good for you, carp! You showed them!

But Three Jumps? Come On!

This is where I draw the line. Three jumps? It's just greedy. Frankly, it feels like overkill. Show some dignity, carp!

The Argument for Brevity
