The Angel Next Door Light Novel Volume 4

Alright, folks, let's talk about The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, Volume 4. I know, I know, it's basically sunshine and rainbows. But hear me out, I have some thoughts.
Amane's Cooking: Overrated?
Don't get me wrong, I'd happily eat anything Amane cooked. She's basically a domestic goddess. But is it really that mind-blowing?
I'm just saying, maybe we're all just really impressed that a teenager can actually boil water without setting off the smoke alarm. Let's be real, most college students live off ramen.
Must Read
The Sweetness is...Too Sweet?
Okay, unpopular opinion incoming: sometimes the sweetness is a little much. I felt a bit like I was eating a whole box of candy in one sitting. My teeth were aching from all the sugar!
It's cute, sure. But give me a little bit of angst, a little drama. My heart needs a break from pure, unadulterated fluff.
I need some spice, I want some twist!

Chitose: The Real MVP
Chitose is amazing. She brings the energy. She brings the chaos.
Honestly, she's the friend we all need. One who is supportive, but also isn't afraid to call you out on your nonsense.
I'd read a whole spin-off series just about her antics.

Mahiru's "Spoiling": A Two-Way Street
It's called "The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten." But let's be honest, Amane is totally spoiling Mahiru too.
He does cook for her, cleans up after her, and generally exists to make her life easier. He is her rock.
It's a symbiotic relationship, people. A very cute one, but still.

The Beach Episode...Almost Perfect
The beach episode was pretty good, gotta admit. The swimsuit choices were on point. But it missed it's potential.
They are just too good to cause drama. I wish there would be some conflicts or challenges.
The moment felt a little... predictable? Still enjoyable, but I wanted a little more oomph.

Final Verdict: Still Love It, But...
Look, I still adore The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten. I will read every volume until the end. But even sunshine has its shadows.
Sometimes, a little less sweetness and a little more spice makes for a more interesting dish. And maybe, just maybe, Amane's cooking isn't quite Michelin-star worthy. (Don't kill me!)
What do you think? Am I totally off-base? Or do you secretly agree that maybe, just maybe, it's okay to crave a little imperfection in our perfect angel next door?
