That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime New Episode

Okay, let's talk about the latest episode of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. You know, Slime Isekai? The one we all secretly (or not so secretly) adore?
I’ve got a confession. I might have…controversial opinions about this week’s installment. Prepare yourselves.
Did We Really Need That Much Dialogue?
Don’t get me wrong. I love hearing Rimuru strategize. I genuinely do!
Must Read
But sometimes, it feels like we spend half the episode listening to explanations. Explanations of things that, frankly, most of us probably already understand.
It's like, "Okay, I get it! Magic is complicated! Can we get to the monsters already?" Anyone else feel me?
The "Pacing" Problem (Maybe?)
Is it just me, or is the pacing a little…off sometimes? One minute we're dealing with a major crisis. The next, it's all exposition and table setting.
I appreciate the world-building, truly. I just sometimes wish they'd sprinkle in a bit more action amidst all the talking.

It feels like we are constantly on the cusp of the exciting stuff, only to be stopped at the door.
The Animation...Mostly Great!
Visually, the show is gorgeous. Let's just get that out of the way.
Rimuru is always a delight to watch. The special effects are generally top-notch.
But every so often, there's a scene where the animation quality dips slightly. Just slightly, mind you. It's enough to make you squint, though, right?
Is This Just Me Being Picky?
Okay, I'll admit it. I'm probably being a little too critical.

It’s easy to become critical when you have high expectation.
I just love this show so much that I want every episode to be absolutely perfect! Is that too much to ask?
Character Development (Or Lack Thereof?)
Some characters shine brilliantly, while others remain...well, a bit bland. I'm looking at you, background characters!
I’d love to see some of the less prominent characters get some more screen time and depth. Give them a little arc!
Let's see their personalities bloom! Because Rimuru can't do everything!

The Ever-Expanding Cast
The cast of characters is growing at an alarming rate. It's getting hard to keep track!
I'm starting to feel like I need a character guide just to remember who everyone is and what their deal is.
I worry that some of them will get lost in the shuffle as the story progresses.
Overall, Still a Solid Episode
Despite my nitpicking, I still enjoyed the latest episode. Slime Isekai is consistently entertaining.
The world is fascinating, the characters are mostly endearing, and the plot is generally engaging.

It's escapism at its finest!
But, like with any show, there are things that could be improved. And that's okay!
Maybe next week's episode will blow me away. I certainly hope so.
Because let’s be honest, who am I kidding? I'll be watching it no matter what!
What about you guys? What did you think of the latest episode? Let me know in the comments! (But be nice!)
