That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime Ep 38

Okay, let's talk Slime. Specifically, episode 38. I know, I know, we're way past that. But some things just stick with you, right?
That Negotiation...Thing
Remember that whole negotiation with the Western Holy Church? It was... something. Seriously, what was even happening?
I mean, Rimuru's trying to be all diplomatic, but then Hinata shows up. Talk about a party pooper!
Must Read
Hinata's Entrance: A Bit Much?
Okay, unpopular opinion time: Hinata's entrance felt a little forced. Like, BAM! Super serious sword lady appears out of nowhere. Did we really need all the dramatic flair?
Don't get me wrong, Hinata's cool. But the timing felt off. It was like the director yelled, "Okay, everyone look serious NOW!"
And the fight? Predictable, but visually appealing. Slime powers go brrrrr. You gotta love it.

The Council of Western Saints: Snooze-Fest?
Then we get to the Council of Western Saints. So much talking. So little actually happening.
I get it, world-building is important. But I started to feel like I was watching a PowerPoint presentation on religious bureaucracy. My eyes glazed over.
Were they all just talking in circles? Maybe they need a good project manager. Or maybe just a slime monster to spice things up.

Rimuru's Patience: Saintly?
Seriously, how much patience does Rimuru have? I'd have snapped way before he did. All the scheming and plotting... It's exhausting just watching it!
He really is the ultimate diplomat. I would have just eaten them all. Just kidding... mostly.
Although, let's be real, a good slime snack sounds kind of refreshing right now. Watermelon flavor, maybe?

The Aftermath: Hopes and Fears
The episode ends with a sense of unease. The peace is fragile. You can practically feel the tension building.
You know something big is about to go down. And that's what keeps us coming back, right? The anticipation!
I just hope my favorite characters make it through. Please, no more tragedies! My heart can't take it!

Final Verdict: Worth the Watch?
Overall, episode 38 wasn't my favorite. A bit too much talk, not enough slime action. But it's still Slime, and Slime is always worth watching.
Even if I fast-forwarded through some of the council scenes. Don't judge me!
Now, off to watch episode 39... and hopefully, see some more monster mayhem. And maybe a little less political debate. Fingers crossed! This reincarnation as a slime thing is getting pretty good.
