That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime Action Figure

Okay, so I'm a big fan of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. Rimuru's journey is just so much fun! The world-building, the characters, even the battles – all of it is awesome.
But my obsession took a slightly… different turn recently. It all started with a birthday gift.
The Ultimate Gift: Slime-ified!
My best friend, knowing my love for the series, got me a Rimuru Tempest action figure. Not just any action figure, mind you. This was the one with all the extra bits and pieces: swords, potions, and even a tiny, adorable Great Sage accessory.
Must Read
I was ecstatic! I immediately cleared a spot on my desk, right next to my monitor. Rimuru took his place of honor, ready to defend me from… well, spreadsheet-induced boredom.
The Unexpected Awakening
Things were normal for about a week. Then, one particularly stressful day at work, I found myself staring at my Rimuru figure. It was probably just the late hour and too much caffeine, but I swear I saw his little slimey face… twitch.
I blinked. Nothing. Must be my imagination.

But then it started happening more often. A subtle shift in his pose. A different angle of his sword. Once, I’m almost certain he was facing the other way when I came back from lunch. Was my Rimuru action figure coming to life?
Of course, logically, I knew that was impossible. Right? But still...
Adventures in My Cubicle
I started paying closer attention. I’d leave him in a specific pose and then surreptitiously check on him throughout the day. And wouldn't you know it, sometimes he would be in a different position!
It wasn't dramatic. Like, he wasn’t suddenly leading a raid on the stapler supply. But the changes were undeniable. It was so subtle, it might be me, but I decided to play along.

One day, I left a tiny, folded note next to him: "Need help with sales report." Just testing the waters, you know?
The next morning, the note was gone. Vanished. My sales report, miraculously, was halfway done. Coincidence? Maybe. Hilarious? Absolutely!
A Little Slime Goes a Long Way
I started leaving him little tasks, silly requests. "Negotiate with the coffee machine for better flavor." "Defeat the mountain of paperwork." You get the idea.

And you know what? My days got a little brighter. Even if it was all in my head, pretending my Rimuru action figure was helping me made everything feel less overwhelming.
It was a fun way to engage with a series I truly loved. My office transformed into this silly playground for my imagination. I might look like a madman.
More Than Just Plastic
Of course, I know my Rimuru isn't actually alive. It is fun to pretend though. My action figure didn't really do my sales report.
But he did something more important: he reminded me to find joy in the everyday. To embrace the silly. To never stop being a fan, even if it means talking to a small, plastic slime.

And who knows? Maybe, just maybe, one day I'll wake up and find him actually fighting my battles. Until then, I'll happily play along.
After all, even the most powerful slime needs a little bit of help sometimes. Especially when facing a mountain of paperwork.
Maybe I just need to find a Veldora figure next...
