That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime 2022

Okay, let's talk Slime Isekai. You know, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. Specifically, the 2022 part.
Don't get me wrong, I love Rimuru. He's a blue blob with ambitions. Who wouldn't root for a slime trying to build a nation?
The 2022 Season: Am I Alone Here?
But… am I the only one who felt like 2022 was... uneven? The first part was fantastic. The tension, the stakes, the actual war.
Must Read
Then things got... political. Less "slime kicking butt," more "slime attending meetings." It's still Slime Isekai, but with more paperwork.
Did We Lose Some Oomph?
The animation was gorgeous, always. No complaints there! But the pacing felt a bit off, right?
Like we spent an episode deciding where to put a new fountain. While the fate of the world dangled in the balance.

And honestly, did Hinata Sakaguchi have to be so difficult? I wanted to like her! I really did!
The constant "Rimuru is evil!" schtick got old fast. Girl, give it a rest. He just wants everyone to have monster bread.
Character Overload: A Slight Issue
There were also… so many new characters. Trying to keep track of who was who, and what their special power was, felt like a final exam.
By the end, I was just nodding along. "Yes, that demon is powerful. Good for them. Now, who gave them that hat?"

And speaking of demons… I still don't fully understand all of Diablo's motivations. He's loyal...ly creepy? Is that a thing?
Justice for Shion!
This might be controversial. I'll say it anyway: Shion deserves more respect. She's hilarious, fiercely loyal, and has incredible strength.
She's not just comic relief! Give her a real arc! Let her fight a meaningful battle! #JusticeForShion

Plus, her cooking is definitely getting better. Maybe.
The Ending: A Tad Rushed?
The ending felt a bit abrupt, didn't it? We built to this huge showdown, and then… poof! Everything's magically solved.
I understand they're setting up for more. But a bit more closure would have been nice. Especially after all that fountain planning.
Don't get me wrong; I'm hyped for the movie. But that 2022 season left me feeling a little bit… unsatisfied.

Maybe I'm just too picky. Maybe I wanted more slime action. Or maybe, just maybe, I need to stop overthinking things.
Either way, I'll still be watching. Because, let's face it, Rimuru is too adorable to resist. Even when he's doing paperwork.
So, what are your thoughts? Am I completely off base? Let me know in the comments! Let's discuss the glorious, sometimes perplexing, world of Slime Isekai!
I still love Rimuru. I just think 2022 had some...growing pains.
