Sword Art Online War Of Underworld Part 2 Episode 12
Remember That Time...SAO Got Intense?
Okay, let's be real. Sword Art Online: War of Underworld Part 2, episode 12. It was... a lot. Who else remembers facepalming a little?
I mean, we’re talking about epic battles. We are talking about sacrifice. We are talking about checks notes love conquering all, even coding? Maybe it's just me.
The Power of Friendship (and Plot Armor!)
Asuna finally arrived! Hooray. Her dramatic entrance was… something. Seriously, the goddess transformation? Very shojo anime.
Must Read
And then there's Kirito. Our boy’s back in action, finally. But did anyone else think, "Dude, you were out for, like, half the season?"
Honestly, the power of friendship in this episode? Off the charts. Even more powerful than admin privileges, apparently. A little cheesy, perhaps?
Unpopular Opinion Time: The Deus Ex Machina Express
Okay, brace yourselves. Unpopular opinion incoming. Did anyone else feel like this episode relied a little too heavily on plot conveniences?

I mean, things conveniently happen just when they need to. Talk about saving the day by the skin of your teeth! Suspension of disbelief required.
New characters just appear to help. Power-ups materialize out of thin air. Was this an anime or a Christmas miracle?
PoH: The Villain We Loved to Hate (or Maybe Just Hated)
Let's talk about PoH. What a creep, am I right? Seriously, this guy gives me the shivers.

He's just pure, unadulterated evil. No sympathetic backstory, no tragic motivation. Just... pure malice. The dude needs therapy, stat.
His end was… well, let’s just say poetic justice served cold. Pretty satisfying, even if the method was a bit… messy.
The Animation: Shiny, Shiny, But...
Visually, the episode was stunning. The fights were flashy. The character designs were on point. No complaints there.
But sometimes, all that flash felt like a distraction. Like they were trying to blind us from the slightly predictable plot. Just saying.

All the shiny sword clashing and magic. Maybe it was too much? Was anyone else struggling to keep up?
Alice: Still the Best Girl?
Alice continues to be awesome. No arguments here. Her strength, her determination, her waifu status. Solid.
She's always the voice of reason. The moral compass. The one who actually thinks before charging into battle. We need more Alice in our lives.

And her interactions with Kirito? Heartwarming, even amidst all the chaos. The feels were real.
So, Overall?
Look, Sword Art Online will always have a special place in my heart. It was my gateway anime!
But this episode? A mixed bag. Epic moments, sure. But also some moments that made me roll my eyes. Does that make me a hater?
Whatever. I still watched it. I still enjoyed parts of it. And I'll probably still watch the next season. Because that's just how it is with SAO, right? We keep coming back for more.
