In those moments, having the dialogue in English is actually pretty helpful. You can really focus on the emotion and the gravity of the situation.
No frantic subtitle reading required. Just pure, unadulterated anime drama. Pass the tissues.
Okay, I Admit It: I'm Lazy
Let's be real. Part of my love for the dub is pure laziness. I don't want to work hard to enjoy my anime. I want to be entertained with minimal effort.
Is that so wrong? I think not.
Plus, sometimes the English scripts are just… funny. There are lines here and there that are so cheesy, they're amazing. In a so-bad-it's-good kind of way.
