Street Fighter 2 Turbo Hyper Fighting Super Nintendo

Okay, let's be real. We all have that one game. The one everyone loves, the one bathed in nostalgic glory. But... you just don't get it. For me? It's Street Fighter 2 Turbo Hyper Fighting on Super Nintendo.
Before you sharpen your digital pitchforks, hear me out! I know, I know. It's a classic. A legend! It basically invented the fighting game genre as we know it. But…did it have to be so fast?
Too Much Turbo? Maybe.
Seriously, "Hyper Fighting" is right. Everything happens at warp speed! It's like the game is powered by caffeine and a sugar rush. I feel like I'm watching a sped-up movie of actual fighting.
Must Read
My reflexes aren't exactly ninja-like, okay? I barely had time to think "block" before I was already eating a Shoryuken. I was button mashing more than actually strategizing.
And the colors! Oh, the colors. They're so vibrant, so...loud! It's like a rave happening inside my TV screen. My eyes needed a vacation after every round.

But Wait, There's More (Chaos)!
Remember trying to learn the special moves? The quarter-circle-forward-punch combos? Good luck pulling those off when the game is moving faster than your brain can process information!
I swear, I spent more time accidentally doing random moves than actually executing the ones I wanted. It was like playing the lottery, except the prize was getting pummeled by Dhalsim's stretchy limbs.

Speaking of Dhalsim... Did anyone actually enjoy fighting him? He's all arms and legs and yoga flames. He's basically a human pretzel of pain. I'd rather fight M. Bison ten times in a row.
Unpopular Opinion Time
Look, I appreciate the game's legacy. I respect its impact. But I think maybe, just maybe, Super Street Fighter 2 is actually better.

Gasp! I know, I said it! The horror! The heresy! But hear me out! It's a little slower, a little more manageable. The colors are a bit easier on the eyes. And you get more characters!
Maybe I just prefer a fighting game where I can actually see what's happening. Where I have a chance to react. Where I don't feel like I'm having a seizure while I play.

Don't get me wrong, the original Street Fighter 2 was revolutionary, I like its pace, but Turbo? I prefer to play in a slower pace and appreciate the animation and strategy of the fights.
"Street Fighter 2 Turbo: It's not bad, it's just... intense."
So, there you have it. My unpopular opinion. Maybe you agree, maybe you think I'm crazy. Either way, let's agree to disagree... after a round of Super Street Fighter 2, of course!
But if you insist in play in Turbo mode, then let's at least agree to be kind to each other...while mashing those buttons frantically.
