Stream That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime

Okay, let's talk about That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. Or Tensura, if you're cool. Everyone seems to love it.
But can we be honest for a second? Maybe just between us? I have a confession.
Slime? More Like, Hold On, Let Me Catch Up!
Look, I get it. Rimuru is adorable. A squishy little blob with big dreams.
Must Read
But sometimes, all the world-building and power-scaling gets a bit... much. Anyone else feel that way?
It feels like every other episode introduces a new powerful being. Each with a complicated backstory and even more complicated abilities.
So. Many. Characters.
Seriously, who are all these people? I struggle to keep track of my own family, let alone a nation of monsters!

Don't even get me started on their names! Trying to pronounce them is like trying to solve a Rubik's Cube blindfolded.
I'm pretty sure I just call half of them "Bob" in my head.
The Power Creep Is Real
Remember when Rimuru was just a little slime trying to survive? Those were simpler times.
Now he's basically a god. It's a bit hard to relate to. No one likes seeing their favorite character becoming OP.

My daily struggles mostly involve finding matching socks, not defeating demon lords.
Is it just me?
Don't get me wrong. I still enjoy watching Tensura. It's entertaining.
The animation is pretty. The characters are (mostly) likeable. But it just loses something along the way.
Maybe my unpopular opinion is that Slime started strong but got a bit... bloated. Like a slime that ate too much magicules.

Unpopular Opinion Incoming!
Here it is, my controversial take: I sometimes prefer the earlier episodes. When Rimuru was just figuring things out.
The power levels were saner. The stakes felt more personal. It's just getting too much.
It felt more grounded, even though it involved a reincarnated slime in a fantasy world. Go figure.
Don't @ Me! (Please)
Look, I know this is probably blasphemy to some. I can already hear the angry keyboard clicks.

But hey, different strokes, right? We can still appreciate Slime for what it is: a fun, escapist anime.
Even if I sometimes feel like I need a spreadsheet to keep up with the plot.
So, am I alone in this? Or is anyone else secretly thinking That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime maybe, just maybe, got a little overhyped?
Let me know! (But be nice!). I still think Rimuru is cute.
