Star Trek Discovery Season 3 Episode 4 Online

Okay, let's talk Star Trek: Discovery. Specifically, Season 3, Episode 4. "Forget Me Not," wasn't it? I have thoughts. Maybe some controversial ones.
A Mudd-y Opinion (Maybe?)
First, let's address the elephant in the room: Kovich. I know, I know, everyone's all about David Cronenberg being this mysterious, intense guy. He definitely has presence.
But honestly? I spent most of his scenes wondering if he was secretly a rogue Mudd variant. Hear me out! The smirks, the knowing glances... It felt a little too chaotic for Starfleet.
Must Read
Book's Cat: The Real Star
Forget the existential dread, the collapsing timelines, the spore drive malfunctions. The true hero of this episode? Grudge. Grudge, Book's majestic feline companion.
Seriously, that cat is a mood. The disdain! The judgment! She embodies everything I feel after a long day of dealing with, well, everything.
I'm starting a petition for Grudge to get her own spin-off. "Grudge: Intergalactic Inspector." Who's with me?

Aisling Franciosi: Stellar Performance
Okay, okay, back to the plot. Aisling Franciosi, who plays Syranna, absolutely crushed it. Talk about a layered performance!
She gave Syranna such vulnerability, such anger, all while being utterly captivating. More Syranna, please!
That scene with Adira? Heartbreaking. Franciosi and Blu del Barrio had incredible chemistry. I was totally invested.

The Trill Symbiont: A Bit of a Mess
Now, here's where my "unpopular opinion" alarm starts blaring. The whole Trill symbiont thing felt…rushed. They shoved a ton of exposition at us.
I get it. Adira is important. They're carrying a whole host of past personalities. But it felt a little like they were ticking off boxes on a "Important Sci-Fi Trope Checklist."
I needed more breathing room, more time to connect with the concept. More slowly unfold this complicated idea.
Stamets and Culber: Relationship Goals
One thing I'm always here for? Stamets and Culber. Their relationship is the bedrock of this show. The way they navigate challenges, support each other... it's beautiful.

Even when they're bickering about spore drive calibrations, you can feel the love. More Stamets/Culber domestic bliss, please!
Their parental dynamic with Adira is heartwarming. They are setting a great example and really creating a touching found family dynamic.
Overall: Still Hooked!
Look, despite my gripes (and my unhealthy obsession with Grudge), I'm still completely hooked. Star Trek: Discovery continues to be a wild ride.

Season 3 is tackling some big themes. Lost memories, cultural divides, the weight of history. Heavy stuff!
And even when it gets a little messy, there's always something to latch onto. A compelling character, a intriguing mystery, or a ridiculously photogenic cat.
So, bring on the next episode! I'm ready (and Grudge probably is too, even if she won't admit it).
Live long and prosper (and maybe adopt a cat that judges you silently).
