Okay, unpopular opinion time! I think Skeleton Knight in Another World needed more episodes. Fight me (with pillows, please)!
Just 12 Episodes? Seriously?
Twelve episodes felt like a blink. Like, just as Arc was getting comfy in his skeletal boots. Bam! Season over. I felt robbed of potential skeleton shenanigans.
We needed more exploring. More monster bashing. And definitely more of Arc trying (and often failing) to be inconspicuous. Seriously, a walking, talking skeleton trying to blend in? Comedy gold!

The World's Too Big!
The world-building was fantastic. So many interesting places hinted at. So many potential side quests!
We barely scratched the surface of the lore. Imagine entire episodes dedicated to uncovering ancient secrets. Or befriending even more eccentric characters. The possibilities were endless!
Think of all the new magical items Arc could have found. New fighting styles he could have mastered. More reasons for him to question his sanity. It could have been glorious!
Ariane and Ponta Deserved More Screen Time
Let’s talk about the best girl, Ariane. This dark elf warrior deserved so much more screen time. Her interactions with Arc were hilarious.
And Ponta! That adorable little spirit wolf. We needed more Ponta cuddles. More Ponta head pats. More Ponta in general, frankly.
A longer season could have explored their backstories more. Give them more character development. Maybe even a spin-off series? (Okay, I'm getting carried away).
Imagine the Filler! (But Good Filler!)
I know, I know. Some people hate filler. But hear me out! Skeleton Knight filler could be amazing.
Picture this: Arc accidentally gets involved in a local cooking competition. He has to use his magic to create the ultimate dish. Hilarious chaos ensues!
Or maybe a beach episode! Except Arc has to stay completely covered in armor to avoid suspicion. The sheer awkwardness! I'm dying just thinking about it.
Unpopular Opinion: Bring On the Filler!
So, yeah. I wanted more episodes. I wanted more adventures. I wanted more Skeleton Knight in Another World goodness.
Twelve episodes just wasn't enough to satisfy my skeletal craving. I'm holding out hope for a second season. And if we get one, I'm hoping for at least 24 episodes! A boy can dream, right?
Don't judge me! I just really enjoyed watching a super-powered skeleton try to navigate a world filled with humans, elves, and adorable spirit wolves.
It's a guilty pleasure. And I'm not ashamed to admit it!
