His cluelessness is half the charm, right? He doesn't even realize he's the protagonist of his own ridiculous story.

The Unpopular Opinion Section

Unpopular opinion time! The ridiculousness is the point. It's not trying to be high art. It's not trying to win an Oscar.

It's trying to be entertaining. And for me, at least, it succeeds on that front.
