It’s easy to watch. It’s funny. It's got Steve Martin and Martin Short at their best. But let’s not pretend it’s the second coming of comedy.

It's like comfort food. Tasty, familiar, and satisfying. But you wouldn't claim it's a Michelin-star experience, right?

At the end of the day, I'll still tune in for the next season. I'll laugh, I'll guess the killer, and I'll probably be wrong. I'll enjoy the ride. But I'll also keep my slightly suspect opinions to myself… until now, that is.
