Season 4 So You Think You Can Dance

Okay, let's talk So You Think You Can Dance. Specifically, Season 4. Remember that one?
I do. And I have some thoughts.
Unpopular Opinions Ahead
Buckle up, buttercups! These might sting a little.
Must Read
I'm ready to defend my questionable taste.
Joshua Allen's Win: Deserved...But.
Yes, Joshua Allen was amazing. His hip-hop was undeniable.
But, I feel like his narrative played a HUGE role. The underdog story is always a winner.
Did that overshadow some other incredible dancers? Maybe. Just maybe.
Courtney Galiano: Robbed?
Okay, hear me out. Courtney Galiano was a powerhouse.

Her technique? Impeccable. Her stage presence? Electric!
I still think she should have been in the Top 2. Fight me!
Mark Kanemura: The Real Star?
Mark Kanemura. Rainbow Mohawk. Need I say more?
He brought the fun. He brought the weird. He brought the raw talent.
For me, he embodies the spirit of SYTYCD more than anyone else from that season.

The Choreography: Hits and Misses
Season 4 gave us some ICONIC routines. "The Garden," anyone?
But let's be real, some of the contemporary pieces felt...forgettable.
Maybe it's just me. But I think some of the dancers were carrying the choreographers.
Katee Shean: Underrated Gem
Everyone remembers Twitch, but let's not forget Katee Shean!
She was fierce. She was versatile. She was consistently excellent.
Seriously, go back and watch her routines. You'll thank me.

The Guest Judges: Hit or Miss?
Some guest judges brought the energy. Others...not so much.
I'm not naming names. But you know who I'm talking about.
Give me Mia Michaels every week, please and thank you!
Final Thoughts (Prepare for More Opinions)
Season 4 was a classic. Full stop.
But, nostalgia can be a tricky thing. We tend to remember the good and gloss over the flaws.

Maybe my opinions are wrong. Maybe I'm just being contrarian.
"But that's what makes reality TV so fun, right? The debates! The drama!"
So, what do you think? Am I completely off base? Let me know!
And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go re-watch Mark's "The Garden" solo. For research purposes, of course.
Because sometimes, you just need a little rainbow mohawk in your life.
Don't judge me.
