Season 3 What We Do In The Shadows Hulu

Okay, let's talk What We Do in the Shadows, season 3. Specifically, let's talk about… well, my unpopular opinion. Buckle up.
Season 3 was… fine. Good, even. But… was it the best? I have my doubts.
The Good Stuff (Obviously)
Look, the show is consistently hilarious. The deadpan delivery is legendary. Nadja, Laszlo, Nandor – they're all comedy gold.
Must Read
The new storylines were fun. Nandor's endless search for love (and Guillermo's quiet despair) were great. Nadja's vampire council antics? Perfection.
The episode with the wellness cult? Brilliant satire. And any scene with Colin Robinson is a win.
Guillermo's Glow-Up
Guillermo finally started getting some recognition. His vampire killing skills are seriously impressive. He deserved that bodyguard promotion.

Watching him protect the vampires, even though they're awful to him, is pure comedy. It's a testament to Harvey Guillén's amazing performance.
But… (Here Comes the Unpopular Part)
Okay, here's where I might lose some of you. I think season 3 felt a bit… disjointed?
The plots felt a little less connected. Like mini-adventures instead of a cohesive story arc. It made the season lack the strong central narrative that the other seasons had.
Did anyone else feel like the season needed a big bad guy? Maybe an overarching threat to tie everything together?

Also, and this is just me, some of the jokes felt a little… repetitive? Like we'd heard them before.
Don't get me wrong, they were still funny. But the show built its comedy around novelty. And, in some cases, I felt like the characters were doing something that I already saw.
The Traveling
Let's address the elephant in the room: the season finale. Laszlo left to go take care of Colin Robinson.
Then, it jumped to Nandor who left to travel the world. And, as if that wasn't enough, Nadja went to London to be a part of the Vampire Council.

This season felt like a set up for future seasons. But was it the best way to move the characters forward? I'm not so sure.
Am I Wrong? Probably.
Look, I know I'm probably in the minority here. What We Do in the Shadows is consistently hilarious.
Maybe I just had high expectations. Maybe I wanted something more from season 3. I just felt like it was slightly weaker than the previous two.
Or maybe I'm just a grumpy vampire energy draining creature like Colin Robinson!

Either way, I'll still be tuning in for season 4. Because even a slightly-less-amazing What We Do in the Shadows is still better than most other shows on TV.
I'll still laugh at Nandor's ridiculous plans. I'll still swoon over Laszlo's terrible jokes. And I'll still root for Guillermo to finally get the respect he deserves.
What do you think? Was I too harsh? Let me know in the comments! I’m ready to be roasted.
