Season 3 Episode 2 Attack On Titan

Okay, folks, let's talk Attack on Titan. Specifically, Season 3 Episode 2.
Prepare yourselves. I might have some... unpopular opinions.
The One Where Everyone's Just...Running
This episode? Basically a marathon. A very tense, tree-filled marathon.
Must Read
The Survey Corps is on the run. The Military Police is chasing them. Chaos ensues.
And honestly? It's a little bit boring at times.
Levi: Human Beyblade, Still Awesome
Don't get me wrong, Levi is a total badass. He's flipping and slicing, saving the day, being all stoic and cool.
But even Levi action gets a little repetitive when it's all action. Give the man a break!
Maybe a cup of tea? A nap, perhaps?

Kenny: The Creepy Uncle We Didn't Ask For
Then there's Kenny Ackerman. Now he's a complicated character.
Seriously, who invited this guy to the party?
His backstory is interesting. But his methods? Yikes.
"People won't change. Whether mankind will perish or not, it all comes down to that fact. Humans are all selfish fools." - Kenny Ackerman
Armin: My Boy Needs a Win
Poor Armin. Always thinking, always strategizing.
He tries so hard. He really does.

But in this episode, he mostly just gets dragged along. Someone give him a hug (and a solid plan that works)!
Unpopular Opinion Time!
Okay, here it is: This episode is... okay.
Just okay. Not amazing. Not terrible. Just… okay.
It's a bridge episode. We're getting from Point A to Point B.
The Dialogue: Could Be Snappier
Some of the dialogue felt a bit clunky, didn't it?

Lots of exposition. Lots of explaining what's happening.
Show, don't tell, people! Show, don't tell!
The Forest: We Get It, It's Green
And the forest scenes... There's only so much forest I can take. I need variety!
Maybe a quick trip to the beach? A nice, relaxing cafe?
Anything but more trees!
Don't Get Me Wrong, I Still Love AoT
Look, I'm not saying Attack on Titan is bad. Far from it!

I'm just saying this particular episode wasn't my favorite.
Every show has its weaker moments. This might be one of them.
Hoping for Better Things to Come
I'm still invested in the story. I'm still rooting for the Survey Corps.
I just hope the next episode has a little less running and a little more... plot.
Fingers crossed for less forest, too!
So, what do you think? Am I completely off base? Or do you agree that this episode was just... meh?
