Rupaul's Drag Race Season 12 Episode 5 Watch

Okay, let's talk about RuPaul's Drag Race Season 12, Episode 5. Remember that one? The one with the infomercials?
I know, I know, everyone loves a good Drag Race infomercial challenge. But hear me out.
The Infomercial Insanity
First off, infomercials are just inherently awkward, right? Like, who actually watches them and thinks, "Yes! I need this bedazzled toilet brush!"
Must Read
Watching them try to sell… well, whatever they were trying to sell… felt like watching a car crash in slow motion.
Some queens shined, don't get me wrong. But overall, the challenge felt a little…underwhelming.
My (Possibly Unpopular) Opinion
Here it comes. Brace yourselves. I didn't think it was that amazing of an episode.
I know! Blasphemy! But seriously, was it just me, or did the energy feel a little…off?

Maybe it was the pressure, maybe it was the editing, but something just didn't click for me. 🤷♀️
Don't get me wrong, I love RuPaul's Drag Race. I live for the drama, the fashion, the sickening performances.
But this episode? It just wasn't my favorite. And that's okay!
The Runway Ruckus
The runway theme was "Stars and Stripes Forever."

Now, that was more like it! Some queens truly understood the assignment and brought the patriotic glamour.
Others… well, let's just say their interpretations were…interesting. 😂
I lived for some of the red, white, and blue extravagance! Honestly, the runway saved the episode for me.
Especially Gigi Goode. That girl consistently delivered stunning looks. Just saying.
The Bottom Two Brouhaha
Who landed in the bottom? Ah yes... the lip sync for your life.

This one was...contentious. Let's just leave it at that.
It's always heartbreaking to see a queen sashay away. But that's the nature of the beast, isn't it?
Final Thoughts (and Another Possibly Unpopular Opinion)
Okay, confession time. Sometimes I think the judges' critiques are a little…harsh.
Like, yes, constructive criticism is important. But sometimes it feels like they're nitpicking just for the sake of it.

Maybe it's just me being overly sensitive. But I always feel bad when I see a queen's heart break on that stage.
Overall, Season 12 Episode 5 was…an episode. It had its moments, its highs and lows.
It's a far cry from the best Drag Race episode ever. But not the worst. Either way, this one definitely has a memorable moment.
So, what did you think? Am I totally off base? Let me know! (But be nice, please! 😉)
And remember, keep your wig secure and your shade subtle. Happy watching, squirrel friends!
