Rick And Morty Season 5 Episode 3 Watch

Rick and Morty's "A Rickconvenient Mort" - Was it really that bad?
Okay, let's talk about Season 5 Episode 3 of Rick and Morty. You know, the one with the Captain Planet parodies? Yeah, "A Rickconvenient Mort."
I know, I know. A lot of people didn't love it. But hear me out.
The Planetina Problem
First off, everyone was upset about Planetina. They thought her character was too dark. Too quickly a descent into violence and disillusionment.
Must Read
But isn't that the point of Rick and Morty? To subvert expectations?
I mean, we're talking about a show where a guy turns himself into a pickle. We should probably expect the unexpected.
Morty's Heartbreak - A Relatable Disaster
And poor Morty! He really fell for Planetina. He thought he found his soulmate.

But their romance was doomed. Like most of Morty's romantic endeavors, let's be honest.
Hasn't everyone been in a relationship that started off amazing and then crashed and burned spectacularly? It's like a rite of passage. Poor Morty is every teenager.
The Environmental Message - Heavy-Handed or Necessary?
Some people complained the environmental message was too preachy. Too on-the-nose, even.

Maybe. But is raising awareness about environmental issues ever really a bad thing? I think not.
Okay, it wasn't subtle. But maybe subtlety isn't what we need right now. Maybe a giant elemental being yelling about pollution is the wake-up call we deserve.
Rick's Role - The Toxic Grandpa We Love?
Let's be real. Rick wasn't exactly winning any "Grandfather of the Year" awards in this episode. He was his usual self, being toxic and manipulative.
But that's Rick! He's a deeply flawed character. His flaws are what make him so compelling.

And even Rick showed a glimmer of…something resembling concern for Morty at the end. Albeit, in his own twisted way.
So, Was it a Good Episode?
Look, I'm not saying "A Rickconvenient Mort" is the best Rick and Morty episode ever made. It's not.
But I don't think it deserves all the hate it gets. It had some funny moments. And, dare I say, a bit of heart.

It's not a top-tier episode, but it's got some redeeming qualities.
My Unpopular Opinion: I Didn't Hate It
So, there you have it. My unpopular opinion. I didn't hate "A Rickconvenient Mort."
Did it have problems? Sure. But it also had some genuinely funny moments and a somewhat poignant message about heartbreak and the environment.
Maybe it's time we cut this episode a little slack. Wubba Lubba Dub-Dub!
